Have scanned this rather long thread...have two questions...I assume the 28" length is from pin center to pin center....is that correct?

In the winter, depending on snow depth and ground conditions I may switch from my snowblower to grader blade (and in the case of a great deal of ice accumulation my york rake to rough stuff up)....this requires shortening or lengthening the top link to fit....in Maine it will often be around 0F or lower in the morning....at these cold temps how easily can one pull or push the hydraulink to the correct length to hook up to the next implement?

Yes, it should be 28" from center to center. To be fair, a new manufacturer is releasing some HydrauLinks that I have not personally measured. However, they are supposed to meet or exceed previous standards.

As for adjusting HydrauLink, in our part of the country temperatures dropped on several occasions to around zero and it performed without a hitch. However, to be safe, just order it from one of our online vendors OR a local supplier in your area (HydrauLink Sales). Most all of them offer a money back guarantee. As we tell everyone, please call or email us if you have any questions. We will personally walk you through any problems you might have.

Oh, I forgot to mention. HydrauLink is dropping prices soon as well as some new sizes for category 0 and category II tractors. We had a lot of people asking for hydrauLinks to fit the Kubota BX series tractors and the like.

Someone has probably already asked...are you going to make one for the larger cabbed tractors......a remote valve? I can't reach my top link from the seat. thanks ....interested if you do.

Just wondering, doesn't your tractor have rear remotes? I thought that pretty much all cabbed tractors came with at least 2 rear remotes.

We've been asked this quite a few times and the answer is a solid yes/no.
We have been working on an optional remote for HydrauLink and hope to see it out this summer... once it completes development and field testing. We don't want to turn anything out that isn't solid.

I have read this thread from front to back and visited the website. There was a lot of opinions both for and a lot more against. I decided to make up my own mind. I have just bought one on Ebay for 231.98 with the shipping. For that price I thought I would try it. I will let you know how it works and some pics if I remember to take them.

Well it's been a while since I installed the HydrauLink on my 770. I didn't want to report on it without much seat time. This is my opinion of it. It works just like they said it would. It gets some getting used to because of the 1 1/2" travel/float it has. Now that I am used to it it's not a problem at all. I have only used it with my back blade so for someone that uses other attachments it might not work as well for them.

Before anyone asks, the last pic is of a blade extension I made for pushing the banks back on my driveway. Works good.

Overall I give it a thumbs up. :thumbsup:If I had another tractor I would buy another one. Especially now that the price is dropping.

My tractor L4240 Kubota did not come with any rear remotes.
I have added a third function to the front...I could run hoses from that if I chose,I thought the Hydralink would be easier.I understand it is not the same thing as fully functional rear remotes.

It is not a hydraulic top link. If you think it is close, it is not. It has 1-1/2" float or movement of the cylinder rod all the time. This is not a problem with my back blade but it might affect how other attachments work.
