Any updates on a shorter Cat 1 version that would fit a Kubota BX or other sub-compact tractor, and if so, has the min/max length been determined yet? Thanks

So ... I suggest the solution to you way back in the thread - 8 months ago. You then negotiate with a new supplier [apparently for the whole assembly] and choose to implement the solution in a way that forces users to buy more parts than they need if they have a longish setup. I cant help but see this as a poor response for the consumer, and a windfall for you.

The prototype for the shorter version we spoke should fit tractors needing between 14" to 19". Once the protoype is built and tested, it'll be about 12 weeks after that until they are on the shelves. That's all I've got for now.

Thanks for the update. Will this version have the screw adjustment option as well? Based on having a 13.5" - 19.5" range on the HTL for my older BX, I was hoping for a max extension of around 22". The adjustable screw end sounds like it would give me the option to go longer, no? The screw option would also help those guys that use a quick hitch.

Read back a little and it sounds like you can get any length with extra part$! The screw adjustment option is the whole basis of the link so I would say yes!

Yes, all versions of HydrauLink (HL) have a screw-end adjuster as well. Now, whether it will take you to the 22" or not is yet to be seen. If not, we will likely have an extended screw option available should you need it. No pricing is available... yet. That is being determined.

I wonder if they will figure out how to do this so the customer can get exactly what length they need without having to buy another part.

If I was a advertiser I do not know if I would ever advertize on this site, not because it is a bad site, it is a awesome site, it is just that you can not make some of the people who post on this site happy.

I know, I have just watched this advertizer get abused ever since he first started advertizing here, and he has taken much abuse, why for simply trying to sell what he feels is a better idea than a screw third link, maybe it isnt an end all to that issue, but in my humble opinion it has a place in the market.

Possibly he may have faired better if he had chosen a few better words on his advertizing, but again in my humble opinion, I do not think he was selling snake oil in his adversizing.

In the recent past, just because he did not include an option (that he had to pay to have engineered and sourced) within his standard price structure, he had to take more abuse from someone.

I do not think it was realistic to think that he should supply this part within his standard price structure, after all, when ever you upgrade anything you have to pay an upcharge, the responding poster could have been polite in his statement that he did not want to pay more, but instead he had to be rude to the advertizer.

I guess I am just glad I do not have to be in the advertizers position, I would prolly go off on a few of our fellow TractorByNet'ers
