Did Kioti shoot themselves in the foot once again?

How did "Kioti shoot themselves in the foot"? I am not a dealer but I don't see how Kioti had any say in who Daedong sells tractors to. With Kioti being just a US company that resells Daedong tractors, do they have some sort of stock ownership where they have a vote on Daedong corporate decisions?

This just means more parts dealers and better resale to me.

I wonder how long until we see a GREEN Kioti. ;)

At this rate it won't be too long everyone will be sitting on a kioti tractor:laughing: Your choice of color:confused2: My dealer told me probably in 2012 there will be a kioti sub-compact tractor:confused: This gives me enough time to convince the wife for another tractor:D

Kioti is a division of Daedong. Wallace chose to say Kioti. Shrug.
His point is well taken. But so is your point and I sense it really the same point that Wallace is making.

Surely, all these "other colored sales" impact Kioti, the very division that represents Daedong. It is quite odd, indeed. If Daedong simply wants to build and sell tractors, they are doing a fine job. If they wish to establish Kioti as a strong presence, this strategy appears to dilute any consolidated force, relegating Kioti to a smaller individual market share.

I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing a Green version anytime soon. :)

I also think that McCormick dealers are catering to a different customer than most Kioti dealers. Most McCormick dealers are primarilary ag. This is chance for Daedong to establish it 75hp and 90hp tractors out there.
5 out of the 8 tractors in the McCormick display were Daedong. 22HP thru 75hp.

I like the pricing of the Kioti/Bobcat...but can't seem to get excited about the Bobcat white...and the Kioti dealer is both a bit far away and not a particularly strong dealer.

There are a couple of McCormick dealers...not too far away and likely strong dealers.

Maybe the McCormick red will be a good answer...wonder how the much closer Bobcat dealer would feel about servicing...maybe after a few years old?

Bobcat dealer also has Kubota and there is a JD dealer also nearby.

It would take a pretty good difference in initial price for me to travel 150 miles+ to get a McCormick...vs Bobcat/Kubota/JD and also New Holland...all within 30 miles.

It does ofter another choice...TMR

Not if they are offering the same product in a different wrapper.

Not too many farmers going to Kioti dealers. Most of the Kioti dealers I have seen are mower shops first then pickup a Kioti line. Most McCormick dealers are carring other shortline ag equipment before they pickup McCormick. There are more Kioti dealers in Indiana than McCormick. Last I checked there are only 4 McCormick dealers in all of Indiana. I have 4 Kioti dealers within 80miles. There will be some overlap in customers but I think it could benifit both as Daedong has another channel to get it product out there. Again it may help the sales of the larger 75hp to 90hp. One of the closest McCormick dealers to me sells Case-IH, Versitile among other shortline equipment. IMO net good. If McCormick wasn't selling Daedongs it would be selling somebody else. It makes me feel better about them being committed to North America.

The plus side of this to me is that the choice I made in a tractor(Kioti), Looks like Bobcat and McCormick think they are petty good machines also.
