Well, turns out it that the range selector was not in gear! I pushed in on the pedal slightly while moving the lever and it went right in to gear. Finally got to drive it a bit! Now to do a search for why my loader bucket sits kinda crooked... seems to slope down from left to right about 3 to 5 degrees. Thanks for all the responses!

Make sure that everything is attached correctly, including the bucket. You might try running the FEL up to the limit of it's height and see if it straightens out when lowered back down. There may be some air in the hydraulics on one side.

Why don't you call your local dealer? Tell him you purchased it from a dealer in another state (better pricing) and did not get any training on it when it was delivered. Ask him to send someone out to go over usage, maintenance, warranty, etc. I am sure they will dispatch someone immediately.

This is worth a try and your local dealer might just do it. He might want to develop a relationship with you for service going forward! Let us know.

the parking brake looks the same... big orange thing you pull out ... maybe the 2520 works different though even though it looks the same.

On my 2320 you push the orange brake lever IN to release the brakes. First you have to step on the brake pedals, real hard sometimes, and then push the lever forwards.

Start by checking your front tire pressure to make sure they're at the same PSI and up to spec.

Check your paperwork, I think moving forward and backward was an option on that one, did you pay for it?

Did your dealer have someone go over (train) you on the tractor when you took delivery? I've purchased serval JD equipment and each time they went over the equipment with me and allowed me to ask questions and try things out. Your dealer owes this to you, and I'd bet it's part of their requirement as a JD franchisee dealer. I'd call my dealer/sales person and tell them to send someone to your house for a training. this in also a major safty issue...you need to be trained.

ok....there should be some lights on the dashboard that tell whether its in neutral, high, mid or low range. make sure its actually in gear.

I am glad you got the machine going. just have to look at the loader bucket to see what that is.
