Use "winter" diesel in summer?

With the mideast thing I'm thinking of filling my bulk tank now with off-road fuel. I know they add anti-gel conditioner for winter use.
Question is, is it OK to buy my next 8 months of fuel now with the anti-gel added? Should I wait for 'summer blend"?
This topic is tough to search so I hope not a repeat.
Any info helpful because I know nothing of this topic.

I believe the winter fuel is blended number 1 and number 2 diesel. I was always told you get more power out of straight no 2, which is summer fuel. If you use any amount I think you would want the number 2. You can always add some number 1 and anti-gel to the machine in the winter.

Fuel, both gas and diesel, jumped here today 22 cents. Frankly, it is so high right now I'm not sure stockpiling at these prices isn't a losing bet. Probably wrong though live to eat those words. Some dire predictions are disconcerting, shall we say. $4.50? Yeah, that would be a economic disaster.

As far as storing and using? Sure. I'd run. No doubt. If you got it at a steal of a price? You bet.

Due to a number of reasons I ended up with most of 200 litres (45 gal) of winter diesel fuel still in my slip tank last spring so used it up over the summer. Winter fuel does give you less power, for me this is not an issue since all my attachments were purchased for a less powerful tractor. If you are making use of all the power your tractor has you will notice the loss of power, if not it hardly matters. You will use slightly more fuel for a given task.
Use an additive for long term storage and you should have no issues at all with it.
I only put 100 litres in the slip tank for this winter, just in case.

In my area all diesel is #2. For winter blend they simply add a additive, not #1. We can not even get #1. Some guys will put 1 gal of Kero to 10 gals of #2.

You will be ok with winter fuel its not going to hurt just wont be as efficient is what they tell me but thats what I run year around.

Its easier so my 300 gal farm tank can have enough fuel to make it worth while them bringing it to me at 50/50 #1 and #2 ruby plus I use gray bottle PS for the cetane boost since I dont have to worry about gelling.

I probably fill up or top off 10-12 times a year @ 4-8 gal a time so 150 gals goes a long ways plus it stores better than gas another plus.

I use only winter blend year round. Always have, always will.
My reason being... I usually buy all my home heating oil after it has been blended for winter use. I store 500 gallons home heating oil for the house and 550 gallons in my garage. The garage tank has an electric fuel pump, 25 foot hose, and nozzle for fueling the tractor.
Amazing the price discount I get with a 700 gallon delivery with same day cash.

The only thing I have ever used is winter blend home heating oil in my tractor.

Well, I just found out that's what I have.
They use the same fuel all year around and add anti-gel for the winter.
