Korean made Deere

Already been done, beginning with Deere's first foray into the CUT market 30+ years ago. The JD 650-1650 and 670-1070 series were JD green Yanmars (not just powered by Yanmar). The 790 & 990 (currently 3005 & 4005) are also built by Yanmar. If I'm not mistaken, the recently discontinued 2305 was also built entirely by Yanmar. Currently, Deere also imports some tractors from India, but they're built in JD factories over there.

The 2320, 2520, and 2720 are built in Osaka by Yanmar. As an owner of a 2520, I think they are quite good tractors.

hm, also if there more expensive in the first place, but sell for more in the end....that makes the net difference - zero. hehe

but i do like my old JD.

I know that Kukje, the company that builds Branson tractors also builds big John Deere tractors for the Asian market.
I'm very happy with my Branson and it's 1700A series Cummins diesel. It's much more tractor than my former tractor, a 770 John Deere (Yanmar) which was grossly overpriced and very light weight.
I'm not a tractor snob and will buy the best tractor I can for the money. What's the big advantage of a Japanese tractor over a Korean one?

ya, i go for the price advantage thing also. ive had my Kioti for 3 weeks now, have used it , crawled under it, opened up and looked at everything i can see. and im very impressed with the overall fit and finish. only time will tell, but so far im real happy. sometimes buying a name brand (like bmw) is a nice feeling, but they break down also. and spendier to repair.

Amazing how sucking that green Kool-Aid down makes folks think everything Deere is made right in the USA along the banks of the Mississippi.

Ya some of the USA made ones are made about 2 hours west of the miss and some about 3 east of the miss.

"Foreign" is a word that is/will have no meaning by the end of this century. A lot of Detroit manufacturing takes place across the river in Canada. Is a Mercedes built in Alabama a German car?

There are 300 million middle class Chinese. I hope they don't consider a John Deere CUT- wherever it is made- a "foreign" tractor.
