TDVT, an FYI. As usual with me, after I go through too much work I find a shortcut. I was at TSC (Tractor Supply Company) and saw some sleeves for 1 inch rod. If you don't have a TSC in your area your local tractor dealer probably has some sleeves also. This would have saved me having to drill then grind the short pieces of tubing to fit the 1 inch pins. The sleeves I'm referring to have a hole drilled and tapped for a grease fitting but you could cut and use both ends anyway. They even have different lengths available. The schedule 80 tubing was still cheaper but if you don't want to have to do the fitting, the sleeves are the way to go.

Thanks for the Kubota-version pics. I think I've got a plan.

I guess I should have looked at those pictures a little closer. I thought that was a Kubota Quick Coupler instead of an ATI unit. I didn't know they made one like that. Makes me wonder who copied who...lol.

Another option to pipe is to buy chromolly tubing as it comes in a variety of size and wall thickness. It typically does not have a welded seam running on the ID that sometimes impedes on the ID too much like pipe or some of the lesser grades of tubing.

Unlike pipe, tubing is sold by OD and wall thickness and it is fairly easy to get the desired ID. Example: 1.125" OD and 0.058" wall will yield an ID of 1.009".

Thanks for that tip. Unfortunately, my local steel supply warehouse doesn't carry chromolly. I only had to drill out 8 short pieces so it wasn't really that big a deal. If in the future I need lots of pieces, I'll remember your tip. I looked at the option of getting a local machine shop cut and turn the pieces I needed and it wouldn't have been that expensive but they were running 3 weeks out. I didn't feel like waiting that long.
