Although the data page shows the relief set at 2000 psi, the Instructions say that the valve is factory set to 2500 psi. I would install a gage and set it equal to the PRV psi on the FEL.

Thanks j_ j I will make sure I do that. Not sure about these things.

Is this thinking right ? If I put a guage at the pump output or before the FEL valve and operate the loader to a stop I will see the FEL PRV setting. If I then operate the grapple to a stop I will see the grapple valve PRV setting.
Correct me if I am wrong. Appreciate your help.

.

After further reading I can see this is not quite right. In both cases the guage would show the same reading - which ever PRV is set Lowest.
Just talking to my self here - Do it all the time

The two PRV's should be set the same unless you want to protect the grapple with less pressure. Depends on how well the grapple is built.

Thank you for taking the time for the detailed write up. I've been chewing on ideas for ways to plumb a grapple and keep my remotes free for rear implements and the valve configuration you chose seems to be precisely what I'm looking for. My hyd is an open center setup, so I,ll have a couple less hoses to run, but I like your way better than the other ideas I was thinking of (elec/hyd switch valve wr long style or giving up a remote.) I only have to find a 11gpm 1 spool valve to match the flow of the walvoil valve on my BH 2426 loader since I'll be piggybacking it inline after the loader valve and don't want to choke the loader.

I think I'll go with this one.

Many thanks!

I am in the process of installing this set up on my L3200. Same valve... Question on the "internal H.P. carryover plug (1/4-18BSPT)", it seems odd but I just want to make sure this plug needs to be installed inside the PB port for this set up. You did install this plug correct?

If you are feeding the next valve, you need the PB adapter.

JJ, are you speaking about the little plug that goes into the power beyond on the new valve?

Yes, that plug is necessary to separate the main flow from the OUT flow.

Some valves use the hex screw, and other valves use a PB adapter sleeve.

If you are talking about the valve in post 25, it uses the PB sleeve.

If you look in the PB port, if it has a small 1/4 in threaded hole, then it takes the screw.

If the hole is larger and has a seat for an o-ring, then it takes s PB sleeve.

I posted both kinds.

You should use the part made for your valve.

Perfect! Thanks JJ.
