Price Check L4740 HST Quotes

Hey all,
About to pull the trigger on an L4740, and just wanted to share the first round of quotes.

Prices are for the HST w/QA 72", R4 tires, LA854 loader... No extra remotes or anything.

Dealer #1: 27,400
Dealer #2: 29,500
Dealer #3: 28,500

The second dealer gave me some attitude when I told him he was $2k higher.

Any prices on similar equipment appreciated. Thx,

I have recommended going to Barlow Tractor Package Builder and contacting them for a bottom line price to find out what kind of deal you are getting. Barlows will quote you a price delivered. Worth the effort for the info if nothing else. Who knows you may end up buying from them. I did.

Are they all quoting same bucket? There is standard duty square back and heavy duty round back. I would get at least one remote to operate a hydraulic top link. Philip.

Agreed, a minimum of one rear remote, we got two on our last tractor. A hydraulic toplink is very helpful on hookup and in use.

man those are some high prices.i got a mx5100 hst w/la844 fel for $24,000.so if i was you id price on the mx5100 hst.those prices are $3000 to $5000 higher than what i gave.

Hi there Philip...I have 2 rear remotes on my L3830. What does a hydraulic top link like that cost, (about), and do you have a part number? I think I will get one.

Philip, what do you find the need or benefit for the hydraulic top link? That hitch has a rating of 2700 pounds plus of lift and was wondering what would be needed for that. Does it apply down pressure with ground engaging equipment?

With hose kit you are looking at $250. Here is link, Tractor Hydraulic toplinks, Top-N-Tilt, Side link cylinders. I eventually replaced straight connectors on cylinder with 90 degree connectors, could not find pics of this. If you buy through ccm, they will also want hose lengths. If you tell them ahead of time they will put banjo fittings on cylinder, which is better than the 90 degree fittings I am using. Philip.
