:laughing:Fair enough. I suppose I've corrected some pretty weird grips on the range.
That is where a revolver come to play, A good old single six..
I love my 1911 45's. I am changing thread direction here, sorry..

I have a single six and it may be a Ruger but I got it around 40 years ago. I keep it laying out loaded with bird shot mainly for noise but it will kill an opposum at point blank range but not very far away.
It is the most safe handgun I have.
I have a Mk II, a Single six, and don't laugh, a Jennings, J22.
Oh, but if you expect to hit anything smaller than the side of the barn, uh, go with one of the others mentioned.
I have one of those Jennings......:laughing:.......I understand never to dry fire it....it damages something inside causing misfires....I ended up with it cuz a friend went in to trade up and they would not even give anything towards a trade....Not even a few bucks...
It's probably no even good for shooting the broad side of the barn from the INSIDE.......
Is yours a new model, post 73 ? I only bring this up cause you mention the 40 years.

They will install safety bar for free if it is the old model.
JB.
Another good use for a Jennings, is you can melt the frames on your cook stove and cast fishing sinkers, out of the zinc "potmetal" alloy.
Just kidding,,, if you enjoy it, have at it.. I have owned some real low end handguns in the past too. just couldn't resist pokeing a little fun at your Jennings.

This is a great gun. 10 round cylinder. Feels just like a .38/.357 except for less rcoil. Great training gun for children.
