What would you change?

i would make 2 small changes to any new tractor built.1.is a 20 gal fuel tank on all tractors over 50hp.2.is a bigger floorboard,im fairly big 5`11 225lbs an my belly hitts the steering wheel as i get on an off the tractor.an the deck isnt big enough to turn around on to get on an off of the tractor.

I guess an 18 hp with a shorter wheel base is out of the question?

My MF-1260 has a 4 range tranny with synchro (16 gears forward and 16 in reverse) so no complaints there. At 40 HP, its a good compromise between power/lift, size and fuel economy. I wish it had rear hydraulic remotes. Oh, and a place for a tool box.

here about 2wks ago i went to look at a 24hp hst lawnmower.an let me tell you is was real tight as i was getting on an off,an my belly was hitting the steering wheel as i sat in the seat.

1) I would give the FEL more lift capacity, up to around 1500lbs or so.
2) Make the tractor heavier.
3) Add a tool box.
4) Add a fire extinguisher.
5) Better seat suspension.

Greater range of seat adjustments. Farther forward and down so the kid can run it and higher up and farther back for me. High volume hydraulic connections on the loader for FEL mounted front attachments. More power, more traction, greater hydraulic capacity, larger fuel tank and 100% greater fuel economy.

I do a lot of bush hog work, some of it is fairly over-grown at times, I would like to have a skid plate under the front to protect the bottom of the radiator,to keep shrapnel from getting up in that area

A get off the tractor button. I would love a switch that would secure the tractor with one button. How many times have you wanted to hop off, but you have to step on the brakes, lock the parking brake, put the tractor in neutral, throttle down, get off grab the one thing and then reverse the whole process.

I have been doing a lot of underbrush clearing lately and I have a lot of wild grape vines growing in the woods. These are not the edible type of grapes but instead just long 1 to 2 inch thick vines that can be 100 feet long and need to be cut up because otherwise then tangle up and just pull everything out of the bucket as you try to back up.

I would love this for my zero turn mower too so I could quickly hop off, grab that one piece of trash and get back on.

personally i use the fel as the parking brake.i just let the loader down an get off the tractor.

More mounting points and surfaces for accessories like a tool box, auxiliary lights, chain boxes, etc. - and an easy change 3-pt, hydraulic top link, and rear remote as standard equipment.
