3-Point Hitch 169D 3 point hitch is weak

   / 169D 3 point hitch is weak #11
Have been looking at a parts list for a ym165 and it shows a bolt looking just like yours that screws into the side of the hydraulic control valve. Go to figure 35 if you want to look at it. It is called an adjusting bolt. Part #194200-46121. If yours screws into the side of the tranny I suppose that is not it. From your picture I can't tell for sure where it is. If it were me and having your troubles I would have no problem in slow experimental movement of it. http://downloads.pfgaustralia.com.au/intranetwebcache/Parts/Parts Manuals/Yanmar/Y00T2391.pdf

It is a little above the 4wd engagement lever back roughly 8" between the tranny and the right fender.

last night i found some sort of adjustment bolt on the side of the tranny case on my Yanmar. Does this have to do with my hydraulic pressure not getting to the hitch? Never noticed it before.

That controls the rate of drop

Then what is the one that has the red paint right above the shifter?:confused2:

that's the lock. It should normally be fully open. Close it only when you want the 3 pt locked in place and never try to operate the 3 pt with it closed. It should always be fully open when you operate the 3 pt.

Thanks! So I guess I am wondering where exactly should i be looking for the problem on my tractor? I don't have the manual and the closest I could find was the JD 650 which has position control. The 650 diagram is very detailed but I cant seem to find what I'm looking for or the general area that the failure occurred.

When I ordered the operator manual and service manual for my 1401D from Hoye, I got the 169D service manual. They are very close to being the same tractor. Hoye has the service manual for your tractor, they may even have the operator manual, but if not I guess you could always get the 1401D operator manual.

I know that Hoye has the manuals, $50 for the parts manual. If i had the $$ in hand i would buy them today but I dont. :( Could you post some pictures of the parts break down for the hydraulic system on the 1401? Thanks for all the help! :)

Today I looked for the hydraulic filter on my tractor but had no luck in finding it. Is the hydro screen near the filter? I sold my chipper today so i now have a little $$$ to work with to get this fixed.

This is what the filter looks like, can't be to hard to find, should be on right side as you are setting in the seat not far behind the pump. Yanmar Tractor Parts: HYDRAULIC FILTER - SPIN ON - S If you are talking about the screen it looks something like this and should be low down on the transmission, may be behind the suction line going to the pump. Yanmar Tractor Parts: HYD SCREEN_
