I believe the Rhino blade have a shorter mold board 15" ? The Land Pride's I believe are 17" or 18", which comes in handy if your using for snow removal.

Go with the 6 footer. thats what I had on my B3200TLB, you will be glad you did, the 5 footer is to small for your tractor.

Devil:

Can you be more specific about why it is too small? My tractor is not 5' wide. My front bucket is 5' (60" wide). I am just trying to understand the benefit of having an extra 1' and an extra (approx) 100 pounds of implement. The extra $200 won't kill me to spend, but just need to understand the upside.

My life-long backhoe envy is now satisfied. Pics of my new rig (still at the dealer) with the BH77 on it. Looks great. A few things I noticed today:

1. The dealer salesman told me that with the BH77 I'd have a 2nd seat on the BH platform and still have the driver's seat. I asked if there wasn't a way to have one seat that swiveled and he said no. When I saw my tractor today it had a swivel seat. The actual black vinyl part of the seat is the same but it is bolted to a new platform. The seat rotates front to back and also had a LOT more range in the forwards and backwards. Totally loved that.

2. The cupholder was moved to the left side on top of a plastic box. This is because the little railing behind the seat was removed. I don't know what's in the box but the cup holder is now in a much easier to use place.

3. The 12" bucket looks huge.

4. They installed a little metal "restrictor plate" over the control to raise/lower the 3PH. Neat. I would not have thought of that. Pic of that.

5. If it wasn't for ordering the Kubota thumb I could have had it delivered tomorrow. But will wait until next week as it's Memorial day soon and we'll be down at our cabin for a full week.

6. Considering some sort of rear light to mount on the ROPS but most of the threads here seems to give mixed feelings about the lights. Not sure what to do yet.

nice machine, congrats. I just have a quick question if I may...I noticed in your original post you mentioned the decision between this and a couple other machines, one being the b26. Why did you decide against the b26? I was quoted $26K for one last year, have the prices jumped? seems like it would have a stronger hydro system, not sure on that though.

Jim:

The B26 is more of a real TLB and I think built for contractors more than my B3300SU. The list price of a B26 is in the $34-35K range now. Local dealer has a brand new leftover 2008 for 27.1K but he would no go lower. I have not seen a new one anywhere around here. For that price I'd rather moved up to a nice L series.

I went with the additional HP of the 33 versus 26 and the fact that I can also remove the FEL if I ever wanted. Cannot do that with the B26TLB.

My dealer. Haven't mentioned the name. They are great. Sell big tractors, combines, etc.. and also the little orange ones as well. I could not be happier to date with the selection, price, and my salesman Brian. They are located in Pueblo, Colorado but also have another office a bit more east. They are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. Brian is the owner's son. It's a family business.

Will always try to support my local dealer so he's here when I need him.

Tom,
think about when you angle your 5 foot blade when your grading dirt or doing snow removal. The more you angle the less it will cover up your rear tires and that is a situation you will not like.Your tractor is about 54" wide and your blade is 60" straight on, it will not cover wheels when angled. And weight will be your friend on a back blade if you really want it to work right.

very good reasons, I hadn't considered the possibility of removing the fel and using the thing as a regular old tractor:thumbsup: and the hp difference is an extra foot on a rotary cutter.

Duh! I never thought that through. With it angled for snow plowing or road grading it will be about 5'+ side to side. Need to contact me dealer and tell him the 350 6' is what I need. But, the 300 series does come in a 6' as well. Hmm.

Tom,
Good luck with your choice, my thoughts are buy once and buy a solid heavy duty so I won't have to buy again.
