2520..So I installed a Temp Gauge

If you have a block heater (like me),that is already being used. Not sure,but I don't think there is anywhere else to put it.

If you look at the picture on the link I posted, find the one that shows the plug to remove on the T-stat housing then look down at the lower right corner and you will also see the block heater. The block heater is probably about a 1 1/4" plug and the T-stat plug is only 18mm threaded hole and the block heater will not fit in that hole as it is way to big.

Nice!:thumbsup: I have been wandering about that and if they have an idiot light on them to let you know if it is getting hot.....

The idiot light can be hard to see if the sun is shinning on the cluster. The light is a run off a switch and if the 2520 is like the 2320, the tractor will turn off if the light comes on as a safety measure. But by then you are already hot and the coolant bottle is overflowing and antifreeze is everywhere (my wife did this two years ago so I know). This is just something easier to glance at and see if it is getting to hot.

Excellent idea!
When I had my 2320 I was mowing a dry field and the radiator filter clogged very quickly. The tractor overheated. A temp gauge is a tractor must.

There are temp gauges available that you don not need to enter the water jacket. The sensor bolts to the thermostat housing (using the bolt already there) and reads the temp there. They work great and are quite accurate and are a good alternative if you can't find a port for a sensor.:thumbsup:

It's a spa technique DG 203. Will post pics of where I installed the thermocouples. This is a 2010 jd2320 yanmar diesel.

You could probably do without the oil temp part.
Summitt Racing has some really nice digital water temp gauges anywhere from 32.00 to 100.00 for a cobalt blue Auto Meter.:thumbsup:
