Well I towed this boat to the lake Friday and along the way weighed it. My 2008 Titan weighs 5,840# with me and 3/4 tank of fuel.
The trailer weighs 1,201# according to the title but that is without a spare tire which I added so let's call it 1,250# now. It's a 10,400# trailer with surge disc brakes.
I weighed it on two pads at the scale. This will give me the trucks weight so I can now figure tongue weight, trailers weight, and total weight.
The trucks new weight once again with me in it and 3/4 fuel was 6,660#, well under its 7,000# GVWR. This equates to 820# tongue weight. The trailer weight was 8,860#, well under its 10,400# GVWR. This means the boat and trailer with 1/3 tank of fuel and 1/2 tank of water is 9,680# which is 180# over the Titans 9,500# tow rating.
The total weight was 15,520#
I will get a pic of it today when I pull it from the lake.

Boat looks good behind the Titan. The trucks built in the last 5 years are way ahaed of the 3/4 Ton trucks 15 years ago. Another few 1000 lbs would have made it tow even better... :thumbsup:
