Your towing rigs and trailers

I on the other hand, love my GN. Bought it used for $3250, spent another $400 fixing things and building the dovetail. It's a 28' deck with 4' dovetail. I especially like the position of the axles. Allows me to haul three things as pictured or two Jeeps easily without overloading the truck.

Ford 250's are notoriously 'cushy' on the tail. you have to squat them down before they will haul anything really heavy (which makes them ride nice when they are empty, but gives the appearance that you are squashing it to death when you do finally hit the overloads). Keep your brake controller spun up to the 10 setting on this load!

Not so heavy load.

Why do I keep seeing this? Does it make the truck "loaded" and is there a benefit to that?

The 250 I had was similar is spec, the max GN weight was 15k or so. I didn't notice the last buggy was a UTV so maybe not as much weight as I thought but too much in weight that's why she's looking skyward.

That F250 would greatly benefit from a pair of assist airbags. They really raises up your rear ride and helps prevent leaf spring fatigue when your hauling the heavier loads.

Very Nice,
I went to the ATCA show in Macungie, PA this past weekend. It was a really nice show with a good turnout and nice weather. Also got a tour of the Mack truck factory just up the road from the show. I don't have an antique truck but hope to someday get one.

Jesse1,
Nice trucks (both of them). Here are a few pics of an old autocar and international fleetstar that I was hauling. Not to a show though. These were on their way to the scrap yard. The autocar would have been nice to restore. But, it was well beyond my means and my aunt said it had to leave the farm!! That was my '01 Powerstroke that I was hauling them with. The scales at the yard read 29,500lbs.

Also, are a few photos of my '06 powerstroke with various loads. I have nothing against the silverado and ram, but all of my powerstrokes have done the deed and then some. The 7.3 is so far my favorite engine. But, even my 6.0 wasn't afraid to work. Both were 6spd manuals with airbags on the rear, a K&N intake on the '01 and an aFE intake on the '06. I kept my superchips programmer set at either the tow-safe or economy mode. I now have a 2012 F450 on order for when I return from Afghanistan. Let's see what the 6.7 is capable of. As you can see, I got plenty of work for it :licking:.

Oh yeah, I thought I'd include a few more of my Freightliner Classic for the 'Big Truck Drivers' out there
