Well after buying my new L3800, im less than happy, i bought the tractor on the 12th on june, and i have had it 2 of those days. the rest of the time they dealer has been trying to figure out how to fix the 3 point hitch be jerky.

I asked them directly about the hitch before i bought it and they said no its fixed and we have not had any problems with the new model L3800 being jerky. Well it is. The dealer says its not right and they will fix it by ordering a new valve.

That was 10 days ago and they are still waiting on the new part to come in to fix it. mean while i went to the dealer to test another L3800 and guess what its still jerky just like mine, So why they are trying to put a new valve on is beyond me. They said the talked to Kubota and the only way to fix it is to get a new vavle (which is BS cause kubota knows what the issue is)

So either the dealer is stalling and lieing or just plain retarded.............but they swear that its a fixable issue that they have never seen before and they will make it 100% right or get me a tractor that does not have a jerky hitch.

Im getting really impateint as they have not called me once in 10 days to let me know what is going on, i have had to call them or stop by there and i get the same answer. "well we are waiting on parts then we can get it fixed right away"

They must think i fell off the Yam wagon

I would love it if you would just take the extra time and (hopefully) let the dealer do his job... just to see if they are going to install the Grand L valve into your L3800. I assume once kubota headquarters see this thread, your dealer will be "spoken to" and things will change in a bad direction for you. Best if you can delete your post...

well considering i did not state where i am from or where i got my tractor, im not to worried about that.

I want them to take there time and do a good job, my point is nothing as happened in 10 days. when i dropped it off they told me it would be abour 2-3 days fix.

i asked them directly what valve they ordered and they said another L3800 valve, i wish they were going to put the Grand L vavle in i would be stoked. Im not sure what they are trying to acomplish by putting in antoher jerky valve and waste more of my time

Does your state have a lemon law?
Would you be covered under it?
At least look into it.
You buy a new tractor to have at home not at a dealer.

No sense in this type of service. No need to delete a thread. Truth is truth. Call it like you see it. Shirley (surely) you can wait another 10 or 20 days.... :D

There are several threads on the board about this issue and the fix.

You know there is no such thing as overnight delivery on tractor valves. :confused2:

I have to agree it seems Kubota hasn't been the best on customer service lately. I've had issues with getting them to even have a reasonable discussion with me as well.

It seems like they are becoming a little complacent, like GM in the 1970's and 80's, or Toyota in the past few years. History has shown that doesn't pan out too well, and the internet sites like TBN ensure that everybody knows whats going on.

I would be unhappy with your situation as well. Could the somewhat recent tsunami in Japan have any bearing on this delay? It would be nice to know what exactly the problem is as they have a good track record otherwise.

Hope you get something figured out. But I promise after they install the 'new' valve the operation will be identical. Not sure what I would do in your situation other than start looking at the B3030 or L3x40 if the 3pt hitch is that important for your usage.

Most Kubota parts come in about 3-4days in my experience. The exception was a steel hydraulic line that was new to the B3200's when they first came out. Mine broke after a few hours use and there were no replacements in this country, had to wait 3 weeks for a new shipment to come from Japan. Considering I use my tractor for my business 3 weeks of down time cost a lot.

Aside from that one incident Kubota has been pretty good on their parts, etc. I never use any dealers for service (due to general incompetence by my observation) so I can't comment on that end of things.

I'd be unhappy that this known problem wasn't corrected by the time the OP's new one was manufactured. Just sayin'.

every1 that is griping about how bad their kubotas are may have a legit gripe.but i see the gripe with the dealer not kubota.back in the winter i knew my shifter was hard to shift between nutrel an the other ranges.so i called my dealer an talked to the manchinic an he told me the prob.an then he goes bring it into the shop.an i said i need the tractor to hay with an said ill be there after lunch,so he fixed it on the farm.

i just want it fixed or to get a model that does not have this issue. I had heard of the issue before i bought this l3800 but they assured me that it was not an issue anymore.

i still have not singed the papars on the tractor yet and its been 14 days, i told them i would not sign it until this gets figured out
