I would really like to be sympathetic, and maybe even throw a log on the fire, but I can't. The truth is this situation has been complained about for years here on the forum, and so we all know about this doccumented issue. It seems foolish to me to know about the issue, and then drop all that money on buying the tractor without trying it first. Yet we all do it at some point, or another. The very best way to get this, or any similar problem corrected by a maufacturer is to not buy the tractor in the first place. If you are a manufacturer, and produce 2000 "L" tractors, and you have 20 guys in a corner making noise about it you probably aren't going to lose much sleep. If you produce 2000 "L" tractors, and you see 1880 green tractors show up in folks yards while yours sit on the lot, you might have a different response. I felt the same way about the quarter inching 3pt. on the tractor I bought, and I have stated many times that I wish Kubota would change that, but I sure am not going to go screaming to the dealer when I bought something I knew wouldn't function the way I would like it too. I bought the tractor to do what I wanted to do, and didn't choose to spend more money on a tractor. (I've since found how to adjust that "feature" so it works as advertised, and am actually pretty happy with it now. Will it cause me to buy a Green tractor the next time... perhaps) Some features we find we just don't want to lose badly enough to save a few bucks. So, admit you made a poor purchase decision, or a purchase decision based on what some salesman told you, and move on. It's not the end of the world, but it sure is a tough lesson for you. Kubota, quite frankly, doesn't address these issues because they haven't affected sales enough to bother them. That is just the way it is, and trust me, I've sat in at enough Engineering meetings to know how that works. Remember that the time you are waiting, and getting more frustrated is all free time to them, and they have plenty of other things to do.
