Kubota dealer is really starting to piss me off

Kubota is as any other company... They could be better in all aspects BUT, me thinks if you take the time to research some of the issues other manufacterers are having you will have to agree that they do a fair job. I've owned three Botas. Other than regular maintenance, I have had one steel hydraulic line bust and that's it. Sure, they could do better but the there's not another tractor maker out there that is doing better than Kubota in terms of "issues". I have owned my own auto repair shop for years and all manufacterers do some stupid stuff that they do not even admit to many times much less pay to fix. That's just the nature of the beast. Alot of times a dealer gets caught in the middle too.

Just an FYI. I just sold an L3800 with a 72 RFM and went out and tried to create the jerking motion that people always talk about on TBN. The only way I could make the 3pt jerk around was by opening up the flow restriction valve and rapidly shove the implement down. I wonder if some of these cases are people who simply don't have the drop speed set properly? This one maybe more of a mechanical issue given that the owner saw a big change all the sudden (air), but I'm far from convienced that there is chronic, wide spread problem

I am glad to hear from Messick on this topic. I am a tractor novice, in fact I was a tractor virgin before I got my L3700SU. :ashamed: I had never been on a tractor or seen a 3pt operate before mine was delivered. I didn't even think to demo the unit at the dealership since I did not know what to test!

I had not noticed any jerkiness on my 3pt that I did not think was due to my unskilled hand, and that was nothing to worry about. But then, I have only used it for mowing and a little landscape rake use so far. I was assuming the problem would be more apparent when I actually try to do something meticulous like grading with a boxblade. Until then I just figured I wasn't doing anything that the jerkiness would show up because I wasn't trying to make small adjustments. I have been setting my mowing height and letting it stay until I had to cross a dip or something I didn't want to mow and then I raised the mower deck more than just a little bit.

These threads were starting to make me worry about what I would see someday when I started to use a ground engaging implement and needed the finer control. As it is, I get much more jerk and bounce when I lower my loader too fast. :p

well another week has gone by and i have not heard anything from the dealer.

So i called today to talk to the sales guy and he was out to lunch and they assured me that they would have him call me right away. Well no call today.

I asked them about the backhoe attachment and the post hole auger attacement that were ordered for my tractor and they looked into it and said they could not find anything about an order for me for a backhoe and auger.

when i bought the tractor i was told it would be a week to 10 days for the special order. Well i think its been about a month give or take a few days and i have not heard anything about it and now it sounds like they have not even ordered the dam thing.

Oh and my "vavle has still not come in yet"

FML, not having a good first go round with kubota and its looking like it may be the last!!!

I would be ripped at the dealer. THAT is b.s.

I think you should get a Kubota rep involved, at least. I would definately stop payment on the check if it hasn't cleared yet.

I would also consider putting the dealers name out there.

I think it is absurd that Kubota hasn't just fixed this re-curring issue. Yes, I know....some operators are content with the jerky hitch but, soo many others are not. IMO, it should become a recall fix.

Maybe they don't want you as a customer anymore. I'd cancel the check and move on.

Sorry if I repeat some one else, but I started to read this tread and got so tired, I skipped ahead. Here are a few thoughts from some one who works on Kubota's and deals with customers:

1. If you knew the 3 points were jerky in the past (from TBN) then you are an idiot for not trying it out before buying a tractor in the first place. If it was going to bother you, you should have tested it.

2. If you signed the papers and paid the dealer, maybe they would be in a bigger hurry to help you out.

3. There is no issue with the valves when they are working normal. They are and "inching" type vavle that moves in segments, that is how they work. They are less expensive and thus on the economy tractors. If you wanted a better valve, buy a more expensive tractor. That is like getting mad because your economy tractor does not have the delux seat, tilt steering, and new style hood that the delux model has.

I just can't fathum how people by equipment they never operated and then get mad that it does not do what they want. And by the way, there are plenty of people out there using the ORIGINAL valves that have not had any issues with the operation.

#1) i was stoked on getting a new tractor and trusted the sales rep!

#2)They have not even mentioned me signing papers, i have no idea why, but they have not said a word about it what so ever and its been over a month

#3) why would the dealer be lieing to me and telling me that its not normal at all and they have never seen that happen, and that they will fix it and that its not right at all???

I just want them to do what they say they were going to do, AND WHERE THE **** IS THE BACHOE AND AUGER AT?? 7-10 days has turned into 30+
