Kubota dealer is really starting to piss me off

from what I've read...the replacement will pretty much be just like the one they replace.I think you aughto push for the upgrade to the 3940 or so....and they maybe hoping thats what you'll do...hence their procrastination

Or, maybe.. and I realize I'm wandering off into the twilight zone here, maybe they're waiting for parts??

I remember at the beginning of this saga:

"Well after two hours of my new tractor the jerky hitch is driving me insane

I called the dealer and they sent out there mechanic and he said 100% that's wrong and he will fix it. They said the older ones had this issue but the newer ones are fixed. They are coming Monday to take it in and fix it

I asked what happens if they can't fix it and they said I would get A different tractor that didn't do that

The funny thing is. The three point was smooth for the first hour and it started today to get really jerky. I'm just hopeful they will stick to their word and make it right some how
"

So it worked "right" initially, but now it's jerky? So, maybe the problem was fixed to a livable degree on the L3800, and now it has developed a problem. An actual problem, maybe to do with an o-ring swelling or a clearance being wrong.

You need to realize you're probably not their only customer, that the parts probably haven't arrived yet, and the "stupid tech guy" most likely knows what he's doing. Believe it or not, they MIGHT be actually trying to help you. Life isn't a conspiracy, really.

How does that saying go, "Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you."

Sorry, sarcasm really isn't my strong point, and I don't do it well or subtly.

...The stupid tech guy is trying to tell me that the tolerances in the valve are bad and something about the O ring swelling up...
Holy Cow! the guy might ACTUALLY be telling the truth and he's trying to help you, so you call him stupid :confused2::(

If this is true, wait for the new valve and let us know if it does help. I've wondered if some valves are worst than others (on the same tractor model). That would explain why some are fine with it... while others, like my self, thought it was going to throw my back out!!!

knowing this tractor already has problems and seems like there is no true deal made yet on it I have to ask why in the world would you still want it and not get different model?

Seems they are pissing you off about something they still own and are letting you use

Not sure about other people, but a check and a handshake is a done deal, in my book. I bought mine over the phone even without a handshake, just on our words. I wouldn't think the dealer would back off his price and I would not change my mind about what I bought (he had to order different tires based on "deal".)

A word about others buying the "economical" "standard" tractor, try them before you buy them. To me "standard" *should* mean "like all others" not anything more NOR anything less... but that's not the case... they used the word "standard" to mean "bare bones"...

Seriously, how many posters expect this to have a happy ending?

In this case, hindsight is foresight. Just me personally, but I would walk away as quietly, respectfully and quickly as possible. I'd return the tractor, cancel the check and move on. I love my L3400 but if I had to start over, I would have saved myself this trouble.

Good luck! Sincerely, I hope it does work out.

I guess I would have to go with ChuckinNH. This "issues" has been discussed regularly and threads can be found by using the "search" function. If a person can't live with a jerky hitch, we have had a couple for over thirty years, buy something else.

I thoroughly research all purchases and drive the actual tractor I am buying, not one just like it on the lot.

Agree with teg's last post too.

I don't trust many people and especially people trying to sell me something, so one telling me something is not a problem just ain't going to do it for me.

I have gotten to this point by being stung a couple of times as I guess some others have.

I hope things work out for the OP.

I agree, your word should be enough, when I ordered my 3215 with dealer installed options, it was over the phone and the dealer is 650 miles away. No money was exchanged, no paper work was signed. I paid for the tractor when I was supposed to pick it up. I did not pick it up for another 3 weeks, didn't have time to go get it. Signed all the paperwork when I picked it up. No problems what so ever. I only pointed out what might or could happen if the wrong people were involved when it was asked "what could go wrong?" ;)

Really not much more to say than that.. I drove the one I was buying at the lot several times. Then when they brought it to the house the guy stayed with me for about an hour going over things and letting me "play".. I didnt get the FEL with mine- it was on the tractor at the dealer so I drove it with the FEL on.. He wanted me to drive it more once he delivered it with no FEL.. It did drive different- or at least I could SEE better!

Just to clarify, the OP never said anything about backing out, my comment is to other posters that suggested to do so... :ashamed::eek: BUT I would ask the dealer about "OPTIONS" *IF* the new valve doesn't work. I'm hoping as all get out that it does work.

To the OP, if you can get before and after video... it would be awesome!
