A Bunn is the only maker worth having IMHO.
I don't get it.:confused3: Coffee is a huge bargain. Lets say I pay $13.80 for a 48 oz can. That's 390 cups @ $0.035 per cup. SHEESH! 3.5「 per cup! C'mon!
I drink Folgers Classic Roast or even the Custom Roast (cheaper). I make a pot of coffee everyday with two heaping scoops of coffee from the 48 oz plastic container. If you buy the 33.9 oz size, you are paying a lot more for each oz. I have terrific well water and use a Mr. Coffee that makes into a thermal carafe. The coffee is heated once and tastes perfect because it never burns. I don't use paper filters, but have a fine screen permanent filter. The coffee is delicious. Of course after drinking coffee aboard ship on the mid-watch that has been in a 30 gallon coffee maker for over 10 hours, I guess anything would taste good. I have been happy with Folgers for as long as I have been old enough to drink coffee. Maxwell House is also okay and Hills Brothers is even good. For awhile I drank Chock Full o'Nuts and enjoyed it. I don't put anything in my coffee; just drink it black and love it.:licking: I'm not about to give it up because of a small price increase. I think it's been a bargain for a long time and due for a price increase. As long as you don't force me to drink Maryland ClubI'll continue buying and making my coffee the perfect way, just the way I like it.

X2. Although I've grown quite fond of Community's Cafe Special
Worked for a power co. and the midnight Dispatcher decided to clean the Bunn coffee maker. So read the instructions for cleaning it said use baking soda run through the maker then flush and enjoy. He did . Next morning arriving at work at 7 am filled the coffee maker with proper amount of grounds and pushed the start button since it was attached to water line we never checked on amount of water it filled pot then shut off. Soon the pot was full and we all got a cup . First sip it we spit out with a strong commint on who ever made the pot needed lessons. The dispatcher was still on duty told what he had done . Added the soda and dumped a container of water in fill area. then same to flush so the baking soda remained in warming container awaiting for the fill button to be pushed. we had to disconnect from water sys. and dump and clean then re-install for the proper cup uf coffee. about 9 on the morning. he said never again would he clean the pot .
I think the gov't doesn't care about the increase of coffee prices because they are trying to get the farmers to raise coffee in countries like Columbia instead of illicit crops and the only way to do this is to insure that the farmers make a good return on their investment. :confused2:
