Jerky LSeries 3pt Hitch Fixed

It's still okay guys. All we have to do is scour the region for a guy named Terry who knows how to fix tractors. How many can there be?
Lets go guys!!!!!

John, this poor tech, if only he knew he was about to become a legend. There may be sightings and for sure a folk song. I may send an email to my old friend Alison Krauss.

Too funny about the latest events.

Maybe someone we can still fill in a few blanks:

1. What is the part number for the standard valve on the L3800, since there have been several versions of this L Series valve? And is it compatible with the other L Series tractors?

Part number appears to be YR908-00105 if you request the L3800 hydraulic diagram from Messicks. It supercedes two previous valves, 104 and 103.
Kubota ASSY VALVE, CONT PN#YR908-00105

(FYI: a quick google search shows this valve is also used in MX5100 tractors)

Hmmm, a folk song? To the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies theme maybe?

Let me tell you bout a man by the name of Terry,
Fixed my valve so it wasn't so scary,
Now it lifts at a pace so smooth,
I adjust my blade while I'm on the move.

Grading that is,
No jerking,
Smooth as glass.

Well the first thing you know I am grading my drive,
Lifting the blade and watching it glide,
The gravels so level it wont even roll,
Next thing I know I have filled the hole.

Level that is,
No dips,
Perfectly even.

Now that is very interesting,, no one I know has ever complained about an MX5100.. maybe this adjustment thing, or some other factor? hard to explain from a scientific/logic standpoint. hm...

A little more searching between Google, Messicks, Colemanequip, and kubotabooks. This is a very incomplete list, but you can see the valves are shared across some product lines. So what does this mean? No idea.
YR908-105 - used in MX5100, L3800
YR908-104 - used in MX5100
YR908-103 - used in L4400, L3400, M59
YR908-102 - used in L4400, L3400, L2800, L48

Progress. Now let's find someone else with and L3800 and a smooth hitch to corroborate...

I don't recall hearing about jerky L4400's either but always figured it was more to do with the cylinder size.

If all those part numbers are accurate then one might consider them an admission from Kubota that they have/had a performance problem and have made an effort to fix it. All be it a quite denial one. My valve part number is pre to those and still an upgrade from earlier valves. Maybe the fix is finally here.

I want Messerick to post a video of all these smooth L3800 hitches and prove us wrong by showing us that indeed these tractors do come from kubota with a smooth hitch if you are lucky
