i wonder if there was a concerted move to get rid of seperate fluid resevoirs? i know my 00 7610s gets it's ps pressure from the prioity pack / hyd valving beside the seat for the deluxe remotes.
ps.. not the first cnh diagram I've seen that is not 100% appropriate for all models it suposedly covers..

I would bet it was the result of a "value engineering" seminar where CNH was trying to eliminate pieces and scrape every nickel of profit off the top. From my viewpoint, having an isolated PS system means if I ever hit a hidden obstruction and develop a leak in the PS cylinder, I'd know it right away when the PS reservoir is pumped dry. In this instance, you could easily pump your entire hydraulic reservoir dry. Of course, the HST already shares the main reservoir sump, so adding the PS to the mix doesn't seem such a big deal.
