How a bout a group buy:)
Looks great...like normal

And that's the sign of quality customization...it looks like it belongs.
Clearly the sign of an artisan.
Now off to the shop to figure out what else I can do to my machine...:D

Thank you sir. It's funny you said that it looks like it belongs because everyone who drops by my shop in the run of a day sees the tractor parked out by the door and always goes over to look at it and never once said anything looked home made.

Our regular customers will just say "ok we know you've done stuff to it so point it out". I just laugh and say "find it" :D. To me that's the sign of a good add on. Making it look like it's part of the machine and that it should have been there to begin with.

On the down side of things a few of the folks asked me yesterday if I made the big pipe bender in the shop that's pictured in this thread

I sure didn't take any offense to yours. Glad you like the chute lights. That's why I post this stuff even if some hate it :(

Although the tractor is real nice, How old is it and what do you use if for?

No dirt anywhere and spit shined tires. This is what I call a Gentleman's tractor.

Nice job on the metal work.

J.J. The tractor is used for one thing only and that's snow clearing. For the last 25 years I've been doing snow clearing for a couple of government lots and some civilian snow clearing. I used to use a GMC truck for this snow clearing but in 2008 I retired the truck and purchased a new Kubota Grand L 4240. Although the 4240 had only 200 hours on it I got a deal on this new 5740 that I couldn't pass up so I bought it and my buddy ended up with the 4240.
I don't know what a Gentleman's tractor actually is but I can assure you these tractors pay there own way. Clean yes but then again our snow is clean :D.

The 200 hour tractor was as clean or cleaner than this new one. Here are the two of them together and my 1993 GMC truck that plowed snow for 13 years. This photo was taken last year and the truck still has it's original paint. The truck is used now to pull my welding unit around. Yes I like clean :D

Now, I understand why it is so clean and shiny. My assumptions were it was an older tractor that had not seen much work, such as road grading, log hauling, plowing, etc.

Gentleman's tractor to me is a tractor, used very little, washed, waxed, and tires shined weekly, and started up weekly. Probably less that 50 hours a year.
