That being said, Bill I have customized many cars, military Jeeps and memorabilia and my next big project that will start this coming winter will be to build a rod so stay tuned. Thanks again for your kind words.

Holy crap Batman! I can hardly wait to see that big project!

Read the stickers....might give you a clue.
He makes his living doing "specialty repairs".etc.Alot more difficult than "haying"

Well put! The decals advertise Paul's business unlike mine that are on the tractors for fun.

Thank you sir. I'm really pleased to know your enjoying this stuff. The best part is there's no commercials  As long as folks want to see I'll post it. If I'm told not to post I'll move on. Plenty of sites to post on ;)Thanks again for your kind words.

Last winter I had to put the blower in some tough spots and although the rear lights are great if you turn the blower and your in complete darkness you can't see where the snow is going so I adapted a couple of L.E.D. lights to the chute. As the chute turns so will the lights. There are water proof, shock proof and draw around 1 amp so they fit the bill for this application. You'll also see the amber switch on the dash that operates them. The switches are L.E.D. as well. The red switch is the reverse beeper by-pass switch. These lights are very, very bright. Seeing most everyone likes photo's here's a few more. :D

4shorts, I enjoy reading your posts. As stated in other posts, I also have a new L5740. Some of your modifications may find their way to mine. Others are not needed for the way mine is used, but I enjoy reading them all.

One other point is when I look at a thread or reply, if it's something I'm interested in, I read on. if it's something I'm not interested in, or even disagree with, I close it and move on. Just because I'm not interested, it doesn't mean the thread is not of interest to others.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Stanley. That means a lot to me. Truth is my tractor brings in some good coin snow clearing here. It's a big part of our winter business. Seeing it's used for my snow clearing contracts it stays naturally clean. Tractors have many uses and not just plowing fields. I keep everything I own clean and have always been like that. I'm well known in my community for keeping clean grounds and a clean shop.

I'm no stranger to equipment. I operated heavy equipment for many years in Labrador City, Newfoundland in open pit mining and logged over 20.000 hours on many different types of caterpillar machines. I replaced my truck that I used for 13 years with the two Kubotas you've seen me post on. I only have the one 5740 now and I enjoy working on it and improving on it. IF I needed a larger unit and could get it but these Kubota Grand L's really fit the bill for my needs. I like the Grand L series because of the cruise,AC,stereo because all the heavy equipment I used had it.
That being said if I take on a project that I think someone else might like or even want to do for themselves I post it and it's hart warming to know some of you enjoy seeing it. It's actually a lot of work to document my projects. Taking the photos, resizing them, posting the discreption and following the thread to make sure everyone gets answered.
Thanks for this post and your comments. Much appreciated. Paul

I've got a neighbour who works very hard at keeping his property not just neat and tidy, but as absolutely perfect as he can be. He would frequently come over to my place and critique how I did things, all the while helping me do exactly as I wanted it.

Frustrating to say the least, but I have appreciated his help, though his critical commentary ratcheted up the stress between us. I pointed this out to him one day and he actually took the hint.

Following that day, as he would mindlessly criticize something I was doing on my property he quickly stopped, corrected himself by saying to both me and himself "but then again, it's your own property and you can do as you wish".

Some people criticize to be a pain in the hoop, others critique to be helpful, and then others just complain. Whatever the case ... as the cliche says ... opinions are like 'hoops' - everyone has one. Hey - there's something like 6,500,000,000 opinions/hoops in the world today :D:thumbsup:
