A Quick Question

   / A Quick Question #21
As long as you get the valve to match your pump flow or greater is good.

They make tractors with gangs of valves at the back, and they are used all the times.

As far as restrictions, any fitting or hose after the pump will cause some heat.

   / A Quick Question #22
Any valve you add there will add restriction to the system, and build up heat.

i agree.. a hole lot of un needed work. IMHO.. adding a valve to bypass a line isn't any cleaner than having a short set of stubs that just union right past the supplying valve, and have longer connecting hoses on the backhoe. IMHO.. a MUCH cleaner setup than adding another valve into the soup...

Two hoses verses a valve, not a big difference, plus about $150. What about all the other tractors that have a gang of valves in the rear, is that such an unclean set up.

It is your tractor, just do it the way you think best.

   / A Quick Question #24
all subjective and relative i guess. the more valves you have the more moving parts to wear (spool)out and leak.. every connection adds a place a seal can wear..

his machine.. his money. valves cost more than hose... just my 2 cents.

The difference here is that the valve will be required to flow oil continuously to power the backhoe. No matter what the valve is rated at, there will be added heat when oil flows through the valve at a steady rate, and the oil still must flow through the valve on the hoe also, plus do work. This new valve will also require more real-estate that a loop hose also. If this was a better choice, then how come no OEM offers it?

On my JD, when the BH is in the circuit, it dumps back to the tank, taking the 3pth OUT of the circuit....

   / A Quick Question #27
The OP has a Kubota B7500 with an after market backhoe.

When the hoe is mounted and in operation the hydraulic supply comes from a power beyond port. The return should go to the hydro case.

When the backhoe is removed no hydraulic flow is required. If the OP puts a quick disconect at the power beyond port and another at the hydro case the long hydraulic lines can be disconnected there and stored with the backhoe.:)

On my JD, when the BH is in the circuit, it dumps back to the tank, taking the 3pth OUT of the circuit..../QUOTE]

On my JD 4200 with factory frame mount for the backhoe the three point is used to lift the backhoe into position and then disabled by closing a valve. Then the backhoe hydraulic lines are connected to the quick disconnects mounted at the rear of the tractor. There is no hose to complete a loop when the backhoe is removed.:)

What?

Pictures below from JDparts clearly show the loop hose in both the original and revised PB kits.

Part #13 for the older kit, and part #19 for the newer kit.
