gassers and disesels had different breathers.. some had wet some dry.. dry ones had an access door... wet models a vent...add to that the tin differences from the 64 and prior models to the 65 and later models... etc.
Soundguy I'm still confused. My uncles tractor has the filter sticking out of the front of the hood and also the round filter thing on the drivers side. Is one not a air filter? See the pic I posted. That is how it came new.

I see a mushroom style inlet breather cap up front, and a cover for a dry air cleaner filter access back of the hood.
are you saying it also has a dry air filter canister or oil bath air filter sump under the nose too? or is the dry air filter back of the hood it's only filter canister.
the mushroom cap is an inlet... not a filter per se...
