Old lady hates the smell of diesel. We had to fill up all the equipment on a pipeline crew after working all day. I tried to explain that what she was smelling was overtime money.She was and still is unimpressed with smell of diesel. Do not understand as her father was a farmer.

Exactly, I was up there a few days each summer for the last 4 years. they were not burning coal/ running the steam engines this year but they were last.

I like the smell of the coal burners, I think it's because it reminds of the trips to my wife's home country of Poland. still alot of coal use there.

So the wife walked into my shop the other day and asked why it always smells like gas or diesel, and I, without even looking up waved my arm toward the wall and said that I had one of those automatic spritzing a air freshners, and for shops you could get gas or diesel scent. I think I had her going for a second.. but I must have looked up smiling or soemthing and she hit me with the newspaper and walked out...

The smell of coal in a Forge. Started cranking the forge for Grand Pa when I was 4 or 5. :thumbsup:

Wood fires are great till the smoke comes right at you full blast. :thumbsup:

Can't sell burnt copper wire around here, its considered Stolen if burnt.
