"Bad Seed News"...Now THERE'S a well respected, honest, open minded, respected news source. Is Geraldo Rivera the editor? Or maybe Jerry Springer?

Most of the economic news I get is from blogs and sites like that...the MSM has failed...

What is your point?

GREAT point....When corn is used to produce fuel, the byproduct is a valuable, marketable cattle feed, worth as much in terms of feed value as straight corn itself.

And it would do most of the anti-GMO crowd a lot of good to research "market rationing"...Simply put, that's where price dictates which end users get the supplies they need.

Are there gov't subsidies for growing plants for fuel? Why is that?

So according to you Iowa State universty is a 'special interest group', and the reviewers in Kansas are also.

I'm sure you could contact them for more information, if you were actually interested.

That misuse of credit directed towards Iowa State University on your part is yet ANOTHER fine example of how you do not have so much as a clue what you're talking about.

I attend University of Kentucky School of Agriculture. That does NOT give me license to post credit for my opinions to the UK School of AG, nor does some baseless opinion from someone who attended Iowa State have the right to be directly attributed to that University. If you knew the difference, you'd know that already, but as it's very obvious, you really don't know the difference.

We constantly see inuendo, and outright claims, that government decisions in favour of biotech crops, or research results from biotech companies or industry-funded researchers are biased...not to be trusted. Is it any more of a stretch to wonder about how unbiased research funded by avowed opponents of a technology will be? Of course, this then would seriously thin the ranks of who you might be willing to trust!

BOB
Both sides have agendas, I agree. But we are stuck in the middle.

Some of us distrust both sides, and we see changes in our bodies and want to know why. We see bees dying, after the introduction of GMO crops. We see herbicide resistant weeds popping up. We see waterways beginning to get polluted with BT, from the GM crops.

Some of us would like to be good stewards of the planet, but the chemical use is starting to cause problems.

To the fuel refiners, NOT to the growers....It's called "Blenders Credits", and they are being eliminated, as are the subsidies paid to farmers on all crops in general.....New farm bill to be effected in 2012 will see subsidies eliminated. Blenders credits were needed at first when bio fuels were a money pit. That's what it took to get them up and running. Now they're becoming self sufficient, subsidies will go away.

Another fine example of you overlooking facts, just to throw insults.

From the article:

Iowa State University entomologist Aaron Gassmann recently confirmed that the beetle, Diabrotica virgifera virgifera, has developed resistance to the Bt protein, Cry3Bb1.

How misinformed can one person be?

An insecticide used in genetically modified (GM) crops grown extensively in the United States and other parts of the world has leached into the water of the surrounding environment

From the article:

The study, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, analysed 217 streams in Indiana. The scientists found 86 per cent of the sites contained corn leaves, husks, stalks or cereal cobs in their channels and 13 per cent contained detectable levels of the insectidical Cry1Ab proteins.

You read it twice, and still failed to understand what you read.

Just more proof that you are here to throw insults, and have no meningful discussion at all.

I'll break it down for you: entomologist Aaron Gassmann recently confirmed that the beetle, Diabrotica virgifera virgifera, has developed resistance to the Bt protein, Cry3Bb1.
