Two things I'd do...
I'd try to raise the lift. The first time it strains, I would slam on the parking brake, go behind the tractor, and lift the 3-pt arms by hands to the top. If I can do it, the tractor should do it.....minus a few degrees.
If I can't do it..I'd take the deck off, and see if I could repeat the episode.
It is important to remember..the linkage is pushed by the cylinder..it is not attached to the cylinder, so you can lift it by hand. This is almost always true for tractors, unless the tractor has down pressure, and that is fairly rare.
Anyway, a
BX2200 is not a prime candidate for BXpanded's test kit. But, I bought it anyway, and instead of the quick connect, I asked for a double dose of shims, since my brother has a
BX2200 too. I bought a short hydraulic hose, and a G1/4 fitting, and I connected Harry's gauge directly to the lift cylinder housing. Easy, and safer for a
BX2200.
For the BXpanded kit, it is best to have a tractor where the FEL disconnects are after the FEL valve, not before like a
BX2200. But it is still a fine kit, you just need a short hydraulic hose and a G1/4 fitting for make it work for you.
G1/4 is sometimes hard to find. Don't be mislead by the prominence of that size in CPU water coolers. We are talking hydraulics after all. I don't remember where I found them online, but they also sold hoses. I thought it was
Surplus Center, they have lot's in there catalog, but I could not find G1/4 fittings on their website.
I don't remember the details, but seems like that is 1/4" straight threads, and an O-ring, so it makes a drip free seal with the tractor. The pressure will show when you lift the lift, and the test is holding the lift lever UP until it strains, and reading that pressure.
