well i am fairly certain I have a relief valve propblem. when it is raising and "stalls out I "think" I can hear it make a "pssst" sound. Is this something that can be rebuilt? In the Diagram that was posted earlier is figure number J405 the relief valve? or is the relief vave on that assembly? I am fairly handy mechanicaly but not sure wher to start or even how to test the pressure.

I forgot to mention that sometimes when I move the hydraulic lever it is difficult to move, like stuck, this usally happens the first time i work the lever, then it seems fine.

okie- looking at your diagram, j405 appears to be the relief valve location. I am just not sure since the large bolt in back looks same as mine but in a different location.

The psst sounds tells me you hit the physical limit somewhere like the rear 3 pt hitting something in rear or mower lift linkage hitting something or rear bolt mower height adjustment is screwed in too far.

I think Its really critical for you to put a gauge on it and check the output on FEL port since its the same contained hydrualics. anything lower then 1200 psi then you might be right the relief is kicking in too soon.
As for the rebuilt question- either the spring lost its full compression ability or it just needs to be shimmed a little bit. (its just a small metal plate to go behind that spring). I cheated with my BX and used a washer. (shhhh). I used my calipers to measure the thickness and went thru my stock of washers and picked the smallest thickness but biggest diameter to fit in relief cover .

Two things I'd do...

I'd try to raise the lift. The first time it strains, I would slam on the parking brake, go behind the tractor, and lift the 3-pt arms by hands to the top. If I can do it, the tractor should do it.....minus a few degrees.

If I can't do it..I'd take the deck off, and see if I could repeat the episode.
It is important to remember..the linkage is pushed by the cylinder..it is not attached to the cylinder, so you can lift it by hand. This is almost always true for tractors, unless the tractor has down pressure, and that is fairly rare.

Anyway, a BX2200 is not a prime candidate for BXpanded's test kit. But, I bought it anyway, and instead of the quick connect, I asked for a double dose of shims, since my brother has a BX2200 too. I bought a short hydraulic hose, and a G1/4 fitting, and I connected Harry's gauge directly to the lift cylinder housing. Easy, and safer for a BX2200.

For the BXpanded kit, it is best to have a tractor where the FEL disconnects are after the FEL valve, not before like a BX2200. But it is still a fine kit, you just need a short hydraulic hose and a G1/4 fitting for make it work for you.

G1/4 is sometimes hard to find. Don't be mislead by the prominence of that size in CPU water coolers. We are talking hydraulics after all. I don't remember where I found them online, but they also sold hoses. I thought it was Surplus Center, they have lot's in there catalog, but I could not find G1/4 fittings on their website.

I don't remember the details, but seems like that is 1/4" straight threads, and an O-ring, so it makes a drip free seal with the tractor. The pressure will show when you lift the lift, and the test is holding the lift lever UP until it strains, and reading that pressure.
