3M headlight lense restoration

I was thinking of giving the protective film a try on my wife's new Explorer. The head lights on her last car looked terrible. I tried the restorer available at Wally world. It made them look better for a couple of months then the cloudy look returned. I would like to avoid that with the new car.

Buy some of these other proven kits that were mentioning on here. They are working for some for over a year or more now! The cheap kit i got is working on my 1990 ranger headlamps for over a year i think now. The 3m kit sounds like an even better kit!

The least expensive method I've found to get the haze off headlights is a good abrasive tooth paste. It takes some rubbing but it works.

did you try the one they offer as a service at their tire / lube.. or one of the wipe on sealers? or a sand/polish type?

A guy I know just goes at them with wet sanding and compound they come out like new. He is a body shop owner, so he has the good stuff, compounds, scratch removers, polishes etc.

Did my wife's 99' grand caravan's lights in 10 minutes, that were so bad they didn't light the road at night, came out like new.

I sure liked the 'good old days' when headlights were headlights, not naked bulbs covered with a plastic lense that degrades.

When a headlight burned out, you replaced it and got a new lense.......

Progress is actually regress. Gimme the old 6011-6013 sealed beams....

Reminds me of the incandescent light bulb that Thomas Alva Edison invented and Barak Hussein Obama destroyed.

We had the bright incandescent light bulb, a supposed energy waster (even though you as a consumer paid for the wasted energy anyway) replaced by a mercury loaded, dim glowing wannabe light bulb that costs 5 times what the old standby did and the Chinese stepping right in and flooding the domestic market with guess what.... Incandescent light bulbs.

Obama needs to be proud.
