Thievery with a twist

Wouldn't that be just a more expensive camera to get stolen?

But the odds of recovery, or at least catching the theif are that much greater:thumbsup:

So...A $150 camera that doesnt get recovered, or...

A $400 camera that does

See if you can get the plate run yourself. I have a friend thats a former sheriff and he can run the number for us. I also have called the court house and told a fib as in Theres a vehicle blocking access to my place. and usually they can get the number for you.

A few years ago I was on tbhe working face of the landfill and this lady term used loosely was wanting to dump a load of trash. We only take rubbish and at the time only from industrial accounts. I sent her on her way. SHe had come in later when the spotter was refueliing the compactor and dumped. Good thing she straddled the ruts from the compactor and it tore off her plate. Had her numbers run and called her and she had to come remove that rubbish.

Sad, but true. We have called the game warden a couple of times about poachers but the standard answer is you have to have proof.

On a hunting forum I visit some one did get good picture from a hidden camera of poachers in action killing and cleaning a deer right in front of the camera. Several clear pictures of the 2 guys. Turned the pictures over to the game warden and they are on the lookout for them.

Best bet would be to buy several of the cheaper game camera's and hide them around the trails where you can get clear pictures without them noticing.

Uncle Doug... I bet we go to the same hunting forum!

If you never plan on building anything on the property, call Fish and Wildlife and tell them you noticed tire marks and found this license plate next to a squashed endangered Toad or Owl or Salamader or whatever is in your area.

Then sit back and watch the news as the nation's largest manhunt gets underway.

Now that is a fact....no question, they would hunt them down much faster than if it was just your property or you that had been violated...good point
