Kubota B2620
Purchased my B2620 last winter with FEL and MMM. When I picked it up I noticed it had the LA304 loader installed instead of the LA364. When I asked the dealer about it he said the capacity was "nearly the same" and the 304 was "way faster" and nobody wants the 364 because it was slower. From the start I was disappointed it the lifting capacity of the loader, but I assumed I was just asking too much from a small tractor.

Since then I have discovered how "shady" this dealer really is!! I contacted another dealer about a replacement bucket since I have bent mine and one of the loader arms appears to be "tweaked" down about an inch. He informed me that I had the wrong loader on my tractor and Kubota would not allow the installation of the lighter duty loader on the B2620. He gave me a contact number at Kubota and recommended I contact them and have the loader replaced with the proper loader at the other dealers expense...

I have left some messages and the dealer said he would be out later this week to look at it. Anybody else ever run into this??

The LA304 fits the B2620 even as the LA364 fits the B2320. The pump is the same on both tractors, so they are interchangeable.

That said, I would find it a very shady practice indeed. I hope your pushing on this now, after accepting delivery, is remedied by the higher ups. The 304 is supposed to operate more quickly, as the guy said, but his take that this is something "people want" was a bluff all the way.

Hope you get satisfaction.

Sounds like the dealer sold you the B2620 FEL 'package', put the cheaper loader on it and pocketed the difference. The LA304 does use smaller cylinders and a slightly narrower bucket, but the loader arms, masts, frame, etc are all the same as the LA364 and even the LA504. If that loader will stand up to the B3200 then it should be fine on a B2620.

However, I would still look into getting the larger loader put on, especially if you paid for it. :confused2:

I've read this before... but why is the shipping weight of the complete LA304 725 lbs. and the LA504 is 845 lbs. without the bucket???

The sub-frame (tractor side) for the LA504 is a lot bigger since it fits the large frame B-series.

Kubota customer service says the dealer better have it in writing that I requested the LA304 loader instead of the LA364 (which I did not).... Otherwise he says I've got a new loader coming... We'll see...

Dealer is coming out this week to look at the loader.

At some point it is not the dealer's fault entirely. One visit to the Kubota web site would show you the loader you should be getting. Apparently you didn't do any research and now need somebody to blame. You should never have accepted the tractor with the wrong loader installed.

Quite sure the 504 loader has different arms and masts. How else do you get the increased height and still maintain the reach?

Stuff happens, and hopefully the dealer will straighten it out with no problems, or bad feelings. One dealer near me has a BX marked BX25, and with the BX25 labled loader, but with the standard BX ROPS, and no backhoe.......... Kubota does it sometimes too. :D
