My old B20 had a pin for the dipper arm. The pin was missing when I got the machine so I made a new one. It fit pretty tight and you had to wiggle the dipper to get it out. Bad plan. All I had on the top of the pin to grab was a threaded ring. One time I was wiggling it out and bingo pinched finger. Nothing broke but popped the end open a little. It gave me a whole new respect for hydraulics. I added a cable and a can. Then I could put the can over a control lever and pull the pin from the seat.
I almost had the B26 stuck today. Lifted a big maple stump that was still loaded with some dirt. We had a lot of rain here in eastern Pa. Front end sunk right in. There I was grinning away at the big load I had on the bucket but when I tried to back up, no go. So I dump the load and used the bucket to walk out. That doesn't count as stuck cause I got out? I was only delayed not stuck. Right?
I sure do like this machine.
