I would say there are guns for different occassions and no one gun will fill all roles. Here are my thoughts on a few.

Carry guns. To me, these are why they make Glocks and other polymer framed guns. Not pretty, light weight, high mag capacity and just plain hard to hurt.

Shooters. These would include the full sized 1911's, Browning High Power, Sigs and other full size guns. Of course get as much practice with the carry gun as needed.

The collectors. I like Smith 41's, older 1911's, just about all HK's and old lugers. I have also been known to buy more Sigs and Glocks than I ever care to shoot but it's just kind of cool to have a bunch of different models of a well liked make.

Hunting guns. I hunt deer and ground hogs with big bore revolvers. Love my 629 DX Classic with Aimpoints. The 686 gets fair share of use as does my custom S&W 10 PPC gun.

And last the "just to sexy" not to own guns. A few of the above will fall into this catagory of course, but I mean stuff like the Kimber Ultra Carry, Desert Eagle 50AE, old Colt revolvers and the Delta Elite in stainless.

Just my opinion.

The beretta is more suited to a duty holster in IMO, An excellent proven combat pistol, but a little bulky to slip in the pants waistband comfortably.

Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 holster. Driving with one you knew the gun was there, but walking you could forget it was there. Carried one for a couple of NC winters and people never had a clue I had one. Always funny to see their faces at the indoor gun range when I pulled it out and they couldn't figure out where the Berretta came from.

The BEST 9mm is the one in your hand when you need it.

'Nuff said!

Instead of "seat time" I'm going to go get some trigger time!

I shot my very first two mags out of the new Taurus 24x7 9mm just now.

I was at about 10 paces, sun at my back, I started 2 handed, emptied the second clip almost entirely 1-handed, rapidly.

Clearly either the gun or I tend to shoot to the right, and most of those came from the rapid fire sequence.

I just reloaded both mags...
:D:D:D

Like my target?

The sights may be off or you are pulling it right. remember to squeeze the trigger, not pull. Maybe change your grip or push back a little to compensate.

JB,

I'm sure 90% is me. I'm out of practise with a pistol (have not shot more than a handful of rds since 2003-2004 and my last Army weapons qual).

I shot a second set of 2 mags (all I have so far) all 1-handed and got a little tighter. I think the grouping is better. I was aiming center of mass or at his AK...

The site may need a little adjusting. When I zero my new Mossberg with my sniper buddy, I will bring this too and have him look at it again.

Trigger is NICE, you can suck up the slack and feel the squeeze spot.

That was fun!:D:D

Now I need to clean it!

If anyone does get a Glock and they live in a bad part of a city, they may want to add Homeboy Sights:
