You do not want to tie down to the front end loader. You need to find a spot on the tractor itself. The FEL, even though attached, is considered a implement and not part of the tractor itself to the law men.

I actually took out 2 bolts in my tractors front end and got 5/8" lifting rings rated at 4,400# each.

As far as tie downs I am using the rear axle and the front loader arms. I will check the book but the loader arm seems right. The straps I bought have loops with hooks so they can loop around axles etc.

The best way to tie down a B-series is put a clevis on the drawbar and run a strap through it on the back. On the front you can run a strap behind the hood guard or through the frame. If you want to tie down the loader, poke a strap trough the cross tube on the loader and tie it down that way.

Trailer looks good BTW. It's hard to find landscape trailers of decent quality.

That is what I use on my JD 2305. Except I use 1/2" because it is all I could find. Where did you find the 5/8" lifting rings?

Donn, nice trailer!-- I have one suggestion that I did on my new trailer. I was at Lowes maybe it was home depot? I found some outdoor stain that was on sale $8.00 a gallon. Well I filled up an old pump sprayer and sprayed the wood floor on the trailer. I did this 9yrs ago on my 5x12 UTV trailer and the wood is still in good shape!! I figured for the $8 it wouldnt hurt any. Dang 2x12 treated wood is high dollar now a days.. Besides I am the only guy I know that has a stained brown trailer- looks pretty good!:D:cool:

Phone company. My buddy works there and he was installing large cabinets on neighborhoods for U-Verse TV and they take them out when set. He gave me about 25 of them. I have used them for a little bit of everything.

Other than possible tickets is there any danger to using the loader?
I was worried about the loader bending if I got into an accident but with all four corners tied down it seemed like it wouldn't move unless the trailer overturned.

Not sure but its not good practice. Find another way to secure it better.

I like that trailer!

What's the difference between an "equipment trailer" & what you got?

Most 'equipment' trailers will not have the sides like his has. With good tie down points inside the sides, it looks like a great trailer for what he wants to do.
