Yanmar Air Filter Elements

I think on YM1500 this model element is mounted flat on the side of the engine instead of on top like YM2000. Same element.

yes airfilter box sits on its side its dark here tomorrow i will messure it let you guys know .the new filter that is in it is like the black nappa one but its orange on this one but will confirm tomorrow thanks

AHHH, didnt know they did it like that. But i was thinking that there was still a different kind though that sat outside the hood a bit, maybe like the one on your other tractor california (does it have the external kind?)?

yes definitely on the side, i have previously purchased an air filter from hoye but it had foam gaskets on both sides, have they changed the design?

o i dont know about the hoye filter i live in the uk ? the price of hoyes filter is good but shipping will kill it will have to look here see if i can get one .its raining here so havent got to check out my filter yet .

Neat 1500 is in Austrailia, so im sure his shipping was like yours will be.

And yes neat, im running a hoye filter now. It has black foam on top and bottom like yours. I removed an original yanmar filter when i put the hoye one in, it had the y thing on it.

yes im sure shipping cost will be the same.is the one you are running now a gen yanmar or a steel top and bottom pattern one? well i e mailed a company in the uk about a steel top one so will let you all know how i get on thanks

Both the original yanmar one that was in the tractor when i bought it and the Hoye one are steel body. The Hoye replacement has foam, glued to to the steel body to help if your filter housing rubber is worn out to help seal better. I honestly cant remember wheather there is foam/or rubber on the original yanmar part or not? Its in the shed on the farm 3 hours from me. California has a thread on air filters i will see if i can find it and post the link here.

i have my OEM filter and it has no foam on it.
