Why are your filters getting bad so fast? are you doing a lot of rotary cutting in dry dusty conditions? how many hours on average have you been changing the air filter at? thanks.

Ya, between 3-4 hours at a time, usually very dusty/dry. No I haven't changed the filter yet (did buy one) but I do clean it every time out. No matter how well you clean these you can't get all the dirt out. :(

I have another question for you I am not seeing it my manual but everytime I start to read my manual I am in bed exhausted and fall asleep. Have you tightend the cab bolts and were are they? I see big bolts under the rubber matt in the cab I am thinking those are them. Then there is all sorts of plastic covers underneath so not sure how you get to them to tighten them up or do you just tighten them up from the top under the rubber matt?

That fence is owned by the development company I am working for in the video so it is there responsibilty however I honestly don't think they have done anything to the fence since it went up about 7 years ago. They were going to build a cement sound barrier fence instead on there dime and the town stopped them over some kind of bylaw issues or more expensive paper work. So the company got pissed off and said the **** with it and through up the wood fence.
The music is direct from the JD factory Jenson heavy duty stereo and factory speakers I am really happy with the sound quality.

Idiot bureaucrats at work again where a concrete wall will last longer and stay looking nice, while a wood fence will rot.

That's a real quiet cab! I envy you.

Wow, is that cab as quiet as it seems? Can barely hear tractor or cutter, only the music.

I thought the same thing regarding the quietness of the cab.

Rockgod - I think you are referring to chains on the rotary cutter. I have chains on the front and back of my RC which I find as a safety factor from thrown objects from the RC but I don't see a real difference in the dust factor and wouldn't think that the chains would do anything to keep down the dust. I would guess you could try a rubber guard and that may keep down the dust. Something to think about and ask around. If you try it let us know.

My Bush-Hog has the rubber belting on the front, and it does nothing to keep the dust down. Rubber strips are cheaper than chains, and keeps the cost down.

No, I have not tightened the cab bolts. Don't remember seeing anything in the manual either...

Thanks Brin I was beating the crap out of my little kubota open station 7510 and a 48 inch second hand cutter. I will let you know if I feel the same about this tractor in 5 years when it's paid off. I did get my first experiance of the puker feeling (is that what the guys called it here when you feel like your going to tip and your heart drops to your stomach for a minute?) There was a hole in the field that was deep enough to cause some problems. so someone had dumped dirt near the sidewalks so I went and scooped up a buckett with only the cutter for ballast (plus 300 pounds of wheel wieghts) anyways there was some very small slopes and the buckett was low but I had a moment where I felt really nervouse.
I guess the cab does that and I have been on an open station for 10 years.
