Well, I guess I could go rent a trailer, load it up, drive it 35 miles, drop it off, come home, go back, load it up, (renting a trailer again and I forgot all the steps and time and money to rent) then get it home etc et all and the second I go to do it the phone will ring and I will miss a job...or fix it myself, end up being the wiser and have the tool(s) to do it down the road when I need to replace hoses! If it were an engine knock sure, but not for one leaky hose bro...
I have been plumbin' since I was 15 years old, now 53. I have built HUNDREDS of new buildings and maybe 100 or so remodels plus umpteenth repairs. I have hired many a hoe in my time and I have gone home many a time while the hoe(s) sit getting new hoses installed, having said that, I AM GETTING READY! HA! Heck, I saw a hose rubbing already! I think some PM wrapping on my hoses will happen soon! It is what it is, ain't gonna call out the marines for this, not yet anyways. If I can not find a tool to fit I may be forced ot reconsider. I think I will prevail though.

Make your own tool. Take a high quality 11/16" box end wrench. Dremel out a passage for the tubing. Heat and bend the wrench to conform to the angles you need. Tighten fitting. Put "custom" wrench up on bench labeled BX-25 flare nut.

would like to see a picture of the tool box you mounted on the back of the seat and your oil temp and pressure gauges set ups. My BX 25 arrives today as as trade up from my BX 2360 looking forward to it.

As for securing the hose fittings, I would get a set of "AN" fitting wrenches. Available at various places they are colored, are made of alum and designed to secure hyd. hose fittings without damaging them or applying too much pressure.

ok - I didnt mean metric only. Its either metric or standard like you mentioned, but you get the idea since its offset flare wrench. It gotta be handy for everything you do in the future. I would be extreme;ly careful tighten them up as you can mess up flare fitting, but as a plumber I guess you are already aware. I just wanted to mention it as I forgot to add it last night, but I guess its useless advice since you are a plumber.
I would say you are lucky your machine is new and clean so its easy to spot the problem. I already have many hours on mine and I haven't had a leak down there yet. Only leak I had was the boom ram that dribbled on boom when it was really hot. a quarter turn to tighten it up fixed it on only one fitting after 500 hours. Now that being said, I wouldnt tighten the rest just yet, just that one you see its leaking.

And the idea is sound except when I first saw the oil mess, and I realized that it was probably 1 of 2 hoses, and not knowing for sure which one was leaking, yet, I put a wrench on the lower one where a tool would go on and IT WAS REALLY LOOSE!
Then I pressurized he bucket / the hydralics and saw that actualy leak was the top one, not the bottom one which was loose! So that is why every single one of them are suspect. The bottom was not leaking but it was really loose. I mean it was bad. I am concerned. Sure, if I put a wrench on others I am not going to turn it if it is "Flare" tight already...All of them were probably screwed on by the same underpaid, saki hungovered, disgruntled kuboto employee whom wrenched my tractor together on his day off, because he was forced to work that day because his brother was busted sleeping in the Transmission Department a day prior, on a Sunday kinda deal. He had a bad day!
