Not true! None of the 4000 series tractors have intercoolers!

What is the extra cooler on the very front of my tractor for? Looks like a radiator, but my previous 4120 did not have it. I will have to look at it again, but I was sure it was hooked to the intake/turbo area. I could be wrong.

Maybe the correct term is aftercooler instead of intercooler?

They do come with an oil cooler. I think there is an optional HST oil cooler available also.

I'm almost sure that the optional cooler is for the Power Reverser transmission. There is a few different coolers on the front, but this one is about the same size of the radiator & is silver in color. It doesn't appear to be for oil? :S

If it has a cab, that will be for the AC. You can't get power reverser on a JD cab compact, ehydro only.

That is correct. I will take a picture of it but I thought the condensor was behind this cooler. I will get it uploaded shortly.

Almost all of the 4000's come with the power reverser standard. Ehydro is an option for everyone besides the 4720.

But I do agree it's probably for ac.

Here it is. I followed the lines & one of the looks like it goes to the intake & the other line I cannot tell. It is behind the turbo. What do you think?

That is an inter-cooler imo. Definitely not a condenser or oil cooler.
