Someone is surely going to make a dirty joke out of this, but how does one know which squirrels are male?

General gun safety tip, "don't shoot small animals that are on some part of your body or a third persons body". If unsure, double check that the animal is not on your body!

Story sounds "squirrely" to me, I think the odds are higher that his story is a "stretch" to cover is stupidity.

I do have to admit that if a squirrel was attempting to take and bury my nuts or climb my tree I would shoot pretty much darn near anything moving just to prevent nut theft!

re:SPIKER I agree with you. Jerry Clower was an expert at telling stories. The fact that he was able to incorporate jokes and humor in his storytelling that made the listener laugh, was pure genius. His type of humor has never been duplicated to the level and status that he perfected. Several have tried, but I really don't think that anyone has reached that plateau. Maybe close but no show. Only my opinion.

Maybe it would have been best if it had been on his head, anybody as dense as that guy deserves a Darwin Award, IMO
