Just one or two more comments. Go to a range where you can control the lighting and you'll see the absolute value of the built in laser on the S&W Bodyguard, if you need a gun its not always in good lighting conditions. I don't care about how ugly the defensive weapon is as long as its easy to use under the most stressful situations and it always works. On the Smith since the laser is built into the frame its size is small but highly usable. I looked at the Ruger and the Taurus as well. Cost difference between all three was only $26 where I was shopping. I picked the Smith for laser, sights and being able to reload with a useable round in the chamber like the 1911. What I really want for Christmas is a John Wayne pocket gun. You know the type, never runs out of bullets, one hit one destroyed/killed target and if it does fail its easy to throw and knocks the villain out.
