What an idea!! Wonder what held it from going into production? If you are a Chevy Nomad fan, perhaps you are aware of this concept car that never was produced. A Corvette Nomad Station Wagon would have been pretty cool.
I think the two ugly-ducklin' Chevy cars of the 50s were the '58 and '59 Chevrolets. The '58 was ugly, but the '59 was horrendous. It's funny, but the slight difference of the '60 Chevy from the '59 made a world of improvement in my opinion. I always liked the '53 thru '56 Fords also.
I guess If I had a choice, it would be the 1955 Packard 400.

The 50's cars bring back fond memories and I enjoy looking at them!
But I surely do not want one to drive.![]()

If they had made the Corvette a family car, it would have gone the way of the Thunderbird.
I think you are right, Dudley. I also think the original Corvette Nomad would have been priced above the market for the station wagon crowd. People would not spend the money on a luxury station wagon. We had to wait 30+ years until they started calling them SUVs.![]()
The state issued registration for my Y2K GMC Yukon XL reads: "2000 GMC STA WGN"
What's this "SUV" thing you are talking about?
