Suit yourself is all I can tell ya blast away!

edit: I was going to say its pretty arrogant to make assumptions on things you haven't seen but I wont do that.

did you even bother to nitice the '?' In case you were not aware.. we call those 'question marks'... denoting a question. I was wondering if it was a cheap or damaged paint surface??

Dealing with diesels I see lots of acid spewover in the battery area.. so far the best protectant for metal *"I"* have found is .. wait for it...---------> INTACT glossy paint.

As for assumptions of things I havn't seen... Are you implying I've never seen paint? or never seen batteries? or battery acid? Now that is what I would call arrogant.... ?? :(

As for the surface you mentioned? no I havn't seen it .. which is WHY I asked if it was damaged paint..?? :(

guess nobody reads messages all the way thru anymore huh?

If any of you are old enough to remember a company called Western Auto, everything they sold was listed as "Heavy Duty".

I agree.
But the price of copper:confused2: I saw some "real" HD ones at NAPA the other day. 4ga copper and 20' long with pretty good clamps. Price tag.....$134:confused2:

I was in a bind about 2 weeks ago, only a NAPA for 20 miles, SO... I bought the blue set, but I only paid $109.00. My Brother's Cummins was dead, and they were the only real choice for starting it. This is the set I keep in my pickup. 2 Ga. 1000 amp disconnects

"Heavy Duty" sells better than "Light Duty"...
It's all in marketing...
Nobody sells couches...
They sell sofas...
A sofa is a value added couch...

I read all of it the best I could and am not trying to start an argument you seem to have a habit of changing others posts to suit your ideals at that moment could and must be have 2 totally different meanings.

I am not presuming you know anything so I have to give credit where its due.

A little friendly advice to ya here but have you ever thought about using a spell checker and pay a little bit more attention to your sentence structure?

That goes a long ways in communication especially the 1 dimensional world of the internet? Merry Christmas btw!

i'll PM you my shipping address.. you can have the new pc show up any time you like.

I post on a mobile device.. only thing I have right now. No spell check, and no real keyboard. hard to type a 'perfect' message with all needed caps and punct. that way.

glad that's all you have to focus on.

PS.. I don't nor am I capable of changing anybodies posts. ONly they or the mods can do that.

PS.. you have a friend in another thread on here at TBN somewhere who specifically started a thread about this.. I'm glad it's so important that some in an online community need 100% perfect spelling, sentence structure and whatnot in order to parse a line of text.

I remember back in the day of 57 baud or BPS, however you would like to term it.. and wow.. 300 .. thent he step up to 1200, and 2400.. etc. Back when online systems were multiple 16550AFT UART packs chained on a PC with a dos based multi tasker like DD or DV and bandwidth was limited. people learned to communicate with shortcuts just fine.

this was back in the time before al gore "invented" the internet.. and back when usenet was in full swing.. back before even people were telnet'ing to the internet.. etc.

guess people have lost the ability to parse sparse text since technology has went up...

If none of that made sense.. google: BAUD, DATASET, and Bulletin Board or BBS and take some time to read. I ran a multi-line BBS system for many many years in the 80's and 90's
