You can connect it to one wire/rope and it does not have to be a loop it can just dead end...either-or.
It will work with one ground, but it will not be as strong and you want it to operate at top strength so I would add 2 more ground rods(hey they are cheap...don't chinch now:laughing
Did you get the 100 mile Zareba and did you spring for the digital tester? I had a hard time getting the cash out for the tester, but I use it every time I work on the fence and it instantly tells me if I have a short and how bad.
Rick,
I am not an electrician, but I played one on TV...
Seriously, I do understand electricity from my 29 years in high tech hardware. I want to be VERY CLEAR, you are saying, I can have a single 1200' loop of electrobraid, connect it to the RED (+) and it will work? (I am assuming when the circuit closes to GND by animal touch it takes shortest path). This makes sense to me.
With as little electric as I am running, the TSC guy got me this one Zareba Solar Low Impedance Charger - 3604308 | Tractor Supply Company.
10 mile would be overkill, 100 mile way too much (maybe I goofed?).
Thanks,
David
