Illegal to buy gas?

yep.. I don't have the time to go bring her gas.. so it's easier just to keep it topped off. pus I like driving her truck once a week so i can figure out if there is anything going wrong / needs fixing on it.. any new lamps on or off in the dash.. etc..

My wife is really good about making sure my clean clothes are always available, and that a meal is always ready, so I am more than happy to make sure all the vehicles are topped off and the maintenance taken care of. I think I would feel bad if she ever had to buy gas. :thumbsup:

Yesterday on the way to the Dr. my fuel light and bell went off ... The wife says ...

"I don't understand why you let it get so low!"

After the Dr. I pulled into the coop and said I need my checkbook ...I'll go in and pay while you pump ... that didn't go over so well.

I simply installed a 3,000 L fuel tank for bulk purchase....and now I only have to drive the vehicles 500 meters into the campground to keep everything full!:thumbsup:

I've given up and fill her car up when I take it to run errands with her credit card!

I keep mowers and four wheelers full , if my wife and daughter are good enough to keep most of the mowing done , I can keep them ready . They know with the cars , there are fuel cards in each vehicle and oil change stickers on the windshields ( just tell me when due and I'll service it , and they are good to let me know ahead of time .) We live in the country and we keep fuel tanks topped off in case of emergencies .(never come home with less than half tank .)

There was something about the gas nozzles in California back then such that if you did not seal the opening as you pumped, the gas pump would shut off (had to do with not emitting vapors into the air?). The wife could never quite get it flush with the odd diameter opening the Gremlin fuel tank had, so I ended up fueling that first car and every car since.

Lots of people had trouble with those vapor recovery nozzles... we would sell cars and folks would complain they couldn't fill the tank..

Some cars were very bad because of the angle of the filler neck... mom had so much trouble with her VW Rabbit with the new nozzles...

Still a challenge with the antique cars... takes two hands and constant pressure to fill the tank...

Does anyone else experience this? We have trucks, tractors, gators, etc. I like to keep the tanks full, the tractors are always fueled and ready ... EXCEPT my wife's 03' 1500 Ram, I swear she thinks its illegal for her to buy Gas!

Everytime we decide to use it, which is very seldom, its an 03' with 22K miles, its near EMPTY!! When I ask her why she fails to stop and put gas in she gives me that puppy dog look and simply replies ... "I forgot Honey" or "I was in a hurry to get back in to help you"

Its it law that its illegal for a woman to purchase Gas?
