Gotta wonder how out of date these manuals are. 1961? Lol

I'm not sure what is the best grade for me. I was never into cars so I really don't have the best understanding.
I will say that my tractor sits in a heated garage. (18c) and sees very little use in the winter. So I guess I need a heavier oil???
Jamming said:"Rotella" Full syn is the best deal in a very high quality diesel or gasoline oil, 6000 hp fuuny cars run it because of its very high shear, wally world for 22 bucks a gallon. i have run it in my motorhome, motorcycles, boat, cars, truck, now tractor, Jaso cert, and all asc, etc !!
I think that is the rotella t6. Can't find it in 10w anything. Not even on the shell website. I don't think it exists.
I did find amsoil 10w30 full synthetic heavy duty diesel oil online.
Check the rating on the back of the bottle, should start with a C to be diesel rated. If you look up, waaaay, (and I'll call Rusty...) You will see Red Line 10W30 DIESEL oil, top shelf. Kinda pricey, but it is the only 10W30 I have seen on the shelf. Amsoil is the only other.
The little white bottle is what you are looking for. CF diesel rated.
Red Line Synthetic Oil - Motor Oil - 10W30 Motor Oil
Bradford CT carries it, so I imagine it would be standard in all CT stores??
Good luck.
Can't use that. Not diesel rated. Redline does have a diesel oil, but only with a viscosity of 15W40.
Chris, since you're going to synthetic anyway, I suggest Amsoil 5W30. This gives better flow at low temps while offering the viscosity you want when hot. Amsoil 5W30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil - Best Motor Oil on the Market
I think they also have a 10W30, but with the new oils, take advantage of the 5W or even 0W versions for really good cold start protection.
