also, i should ad that my dealer told me that john deere is in transition of a new series loader that will be compatible to all tractors of my series. I brought up the subject becuase of concerns of not buying a loader now and my my tractor being obsolete in a couple years to get a loader

If you think ordering the tractor with loader now is expensive, wait till you get the bill for doing it a year or two from now. The cost of the loader itself is one thing. But the subsequent cost of installing the necessary additional hydraulics to a cab tractor can be daunting, especially if you decide on the 4-in-1 bucket. Plus at that point it becomes a dealer installation rather than a factory installation. And given the experience I've had with some John Deere service departments, that's a scary proposition. If you still don't want to pony up for an installed loader, at least consider ordering all the necessary hydraulics to be factory-installed, so that the tractor is loader-ready when delivered.

The farm store blade is ok for snow, but - in my estimation - little else. It's too light. And if you're clearing snow on concrete or asphalt, be prepared for a lot of wear on the cutting edge.

I agree with Greg's comments as well.

As far as getting back blade from a tractor supply it will work for snow but not nearly as HD as a Frontier (Deere), Woods, Bush Hog, etc. and will find you blade will get damaged. Invest in something to last:thumbsup:

The tractors are plumbed for the loader. and deluxe cab he is getting the rear scv which can be used for a 4 in 1 if so desired.

all there is to add a loader later is 8 bolts. 4 on each side for the loader bracket right in front of the cab. Anybody can figure it out.

I wouldn't worry about it at all as long as your dealer will treat you right at time of loader purchase. and if he won't, there are other dealers........

About 15 yrs ago I had a relatively new 45 hp 4wd Massey Ferguson compact tractor with turf tires with fluid for weight. I purchased an 84" rear blade from Central Tractor just for snow removal on my long gravel driveway. Figured the whole rig was a little over 5000 lbs. What a disappointment that was -- clearing snow was almost useless until after I bought/installed a set of rear chains. Then it worked just fine for clearing snow. Being a light/medium duty implement I wouldn't use it for moving dirt or gravel for fear of damage. So, I'd highly recommend getting a heavier duty rear blade if you are going to do more than plow snow with it.

Not in the case of my 2011 3720. And one set of SCV is insufficient if TNT or HTL or hydraulic implements are eventually added. Over and above the standard 3720 cab configuration, mine needed an additional SCVs installed in the rear (total 3 sets), the associated additional solenoid valve, the associated electric switch in the cab, two new lines and a 3rd set of QDs up front for the clamshell cylinders.

I checked long and hard before finalizing my 3720 configuration, because for me too - the additional cost of a loader was significant. I found it conclusively less expensive in the long run, to have my tractor configured as desired at the factory. I still recommend avoiding the post-purchase loader add-on process at the dealership, unless it's sold to you as guaranteed 100% loader-ready tractor. Another reason I went with this configuration, was - even though the original intent was to pay case - I ended up selecting their 60 month/0% interest alternative. So it's the same as cash, but I'm just paying it over time.

you can't get a 3x20 that isn't loader ready. I understand what your saying about additional scv's but i recently ordered a 3720 and only the 1st rear scv is factory installed. (with deluxe cab only). standard cab rear scv and any rear scv's after the first are dealer installed items. and lots of people don't need 2 or 3 scv on the rear. I have a HTL and if i use my grapple i unplug the HTL. Not the end of the world.

for my grapple i ran rubber lines to the middle with QD's. and rubber lines on the loader zip tied to the steel lines. nobody even notices. Cheap and simple self installation.

I would offer this idea, pay cash for the tractor and take 0% financing for enough funds to buy the loader. I agree it would be a great addition right away.

I couldn't agree more with Greg_g, I'd at minimum get all the hydraulics for the loader. Most tractors have a loader prep package you can order. I don't blame you a bit for not financing. My wife won't buy anything farm related if she can't pay cash for it.

Looking ahead at time of purchase, I just didn't like the idea of swapping QDs incessantly. Of my rear SCVs, set #1 is dedicated to the 4-in-1 clamshell cylinders, set #2 is dedicated to the HTL, set #3 is multi-purpose; for whichever of my TPH/towed implements needs hydraulic assist at that particular point in time.

I ordered the deluxe cab becuase apparently you get all the hydraulics ran already including the upgraded joystick with the switches that alllow you to run brooms, front mounted broush hogs on the loader, and etc, etc. I think that many people are under the impression that the delux cab just gives you work lights and a rear wiper. I priced out all the hydraulic connections with standard cab and it cost more than what the delux cab cost with it already ran from factory plus i got a air seat included along with radio wipers, etc, etc. Deluxe cab was only like 1000 more bucks or something. pretty good deal. Ill double check my sheet later on greg to see what all it has and post again later. My build sheets are downstairs and im about to take a nap cause i had one too many last night i think
