My L3800 TL became a TLB last week. I installed the BH77 myself, which was pretty well straight forward. Removing the rear wheels makes installing the sub-frame easier but can be done with the wheels on. Total installation time including a coffee break or two was about 2 1/2 hours.

I just had to try it out so the stump in the corner of the yard (where I cut down some trees this past fall) was my first project and learning experience. This stump was from 3 trees that had grown together and each had about a 12 inch diameter. I was able to dig around them to break the roots and then break each stump apart from the others.

It took me about 2 hours to do this mainly because of the learning curve. I could probably do the same job now in about 45 minutes. By the way the thumb was definitely worth getting. It made lifting the stumps an easy job.

I believe the only real complaint I have with the BH77 is that there is no leg room. I addressed this by moving the seat back 4 inches. I used 1/8" X 1 1/2" aluminum angle I had on hand. I found this made working the controls easier since my knees were no longer in the way of the leavers.

Sweet, I ordered a bh77 for my L3800 3 weeks a two days ago. I have called twice asking what the holdup was, they keep telling me it’s on order :(….. What size bucket did you go with?

Good job. It seems as if your tractor is capable of digging and extracting other stumps that you need removed. In regards to the seat extension

Hope you soon get your BH77.

My dealer is Messick's and they had several of the BH77 in stock along with several different size buckets. I went with the 16 inch bucket.

The thumb had to be ordered but that only took 3 days to get. I believe it shipped from Georgia.

Messick's seems to carry a large inventory of equipment and parts. In fact the hardware that came with the BH was missing one of the nuts to mount the seat pedestal to the platform (6 required). They had this nut in stock under the Kubota part number. Of course they gave it to me at no charge.

Make sure you have the updated pin in your BH77. Otherwise it can get real ugly real fast

My dealer had two in stock when i whent out and looked them over the frist time and sold them both in a week. I ordered the thumb also with my bh. The dealer told me it would be coming out of Georgia and seeing how I am just one state over i thought this would take no time. I just want to get on and play! I dont have a shop to work in so they will be installing for me.
